He is scheduled to fight Stephen Pryor on Jan. 26Why is he fighting? Is he broke of did he always want to fight the hawk and this is his way of fighting him? Either way hopefully hes not mounting a full comeback

I always liked Aaron Pryor Sr better so i hope Pryor Jr kicks the crap out of Camacho Sr.
Maybe they can have Earnie Shavers on the undercard, he's making a comeback too, right?

With the extent of punchiness SR has right now I guess it is a good thing he is fighting Pryor Jr then SR in his prime![]()

Its a big shame though..
I suppose it might even be a fair move for him if thats the case..
I sometimes think this..
Great champs alot of the time are the juniors of or are trained by and brought into the sport by theyr fathers..
When a man loves the sport and never quite makes it himself he brings his son into the sport to share this bond and to make theyr son into what they wish they could be..
For example
Floyd sr and Jr
Roy Jones sr and jr
and at the same time also consider that boxing has long been the poor mans sport..
the guys that were the poorest and the worst off were the guys that were the toughest and the guys that had that determination to win and make it out of there..
But there comes the mixup..
Sure they share theyr love of the sport and have great trainers in theyr fathers who were great fighters.. But some just arent hungry enough to become as good a fighter as theyr fathers..
A guy like duran must not have been, Camacho Jr certainly wasnt..
Another random one is though cory is the son of leon, who was successful at least.. Leon was never really there as a great father so although coryis surrounded by a great and knowledgable boxing crowd due to his identity..He is also hungry and stuck to fighting to make his life better and carry out the sport he loves
And it also puts a question on the guys that are doing well curently
Such as James Mcgirt jr.. Buddy was successful as a fighter, now is a great trainer.. And hes doing a good job with his son..But when will we know if he has that will to win?.. he may not be hungry enough.. But maybe he is.. We have to wait and see on these things
Ronald hearns and Julio cesar chavez jr..Certainly havent grown up wanting.. But have been surrounded by such a good crowd as to instill that natural talent and bring out that skill in them.. But still you have to question theyr hearts and you also say why are they being brought on so slowly?
Just because the great Julio Cesar Chavez was undefeated in 90+ fights with mostly wins over modest opposition why should they try to promote and bring Jr up in the same way..
Somewhat the same thing as Ronald hearns..He is still quite unexperianced in the sport and a step up is not yet neccessary..But he should be busier and stepping up in bigger ways under brighter lights then he is..

Where did you hear this crap? Last I heard Macho Man was still in Jail for breakin into a computer place, wreckin shat, and pissin all up in the place. Seriously.Originally Posted by BoomBoom
That said, I've seen Pryor's son, a couple times, Buddy McGirt's kid beat the tar outta him, I mean Stephon Pryor has heart and a little pop, not much else though, plus he's like 32 or 34 already I think. I'd actually pick Sr. to beat him in a boring, shit, decision win.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Last I heard Shavers was a doorman in Liverpool.Originally Posted by SweetPea
