Is Carlos Quintana a good fight for williams?

Surely there are better fights out there for him. Mosley, Cintron even Cotto.



Someone raised a good point on here the other day that he probably wont have long left at Welter,what does he gain by beating Quintana?

Is Mosley even actively looking for fights? Seemed like he was thinking about retirement.

Quintana's a solid enough fight although I find it hard to see him winning.

Cintron was signed to fight Williams but hurt his hand in some way.

I haven't heard anything about either Williams looking for Cotto or vice versa. Cotto's the most credible contender for Floyd and should get the next spot. If he doesn't they may end up fighting at some point.

Quintana is a good fighter. And a fight with him makes sense. Cintron is hurt. Mosley just fought. And Margarito seems to be waiting for Cotto. So why not Quintana?

Sorry, I forgot he was supposed to fight Cintron but Cintron got injured.....that makes the choice of Quintana a bit more reasonable I suppose.


Shame I would have loved to see Cintron-Williams.

I'll repeat it again 'bad management' after beating Margarito Team Williams should have been shopping for an opponent the next day.
It's been what? 7 months or so since he beat Margarito....
When you win a fight and have an outing like that your suppose to follow that up as to not loose out any fire that you've set off with the sports media. Now people wanna see him fight but I can guarantee you that would he have fought a couple of months after that the fans/writers would have responded and would be speaking even higher of him now.

Now fighting Carlos is good to keep busy and make some money and figure out what's the next move.
Aside from that I don't see how beating Carlos could have more pull or weight then beating Margarito.
