It's the last month of theyear so things are going to go slow for big MMA venets, right?WRONG!!

First we have the ULTIMATE FIGHTER FINALE
AND K1 GP THE SAME DAY
THEN WE HAVE AN AWESOME WEC CARD
THEN THE UFC FEATURING CHUCK AND WANDY
    THEN YARENNNNOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKAAAAA

    AMAZING¬

UFC THIS WEEKEND IS GOING TO BE AMAZING! I WISH THEY HAD PRIDE PRODUCTON VALUES AND ANNOUNCERS WHICH WOULD ALL ADD TO THE OVERALL HYPE OF THE SHOW BUT OH WELL.

I'm really looking forward to the WEC card Wednesday night. Going to be some bang-up fights. Should be a good tactical match for Faber/Curran.

First part of teh orgy-WEC. Was pretty good. FABER looked good in a fight quite a few picked him to lose in. Very agressive, energetic.Love the single leg knee!!

Paulo Filho was lucky to get away with the W! Sonnen was an ass!! He had Filho out on his feet, why take him down?!He should have pounded him with his fists. To top it off,he was winning the fight EASILY whilst standing,so what does he do?Takes it to the ground! What an ASS!What makes this EVEN MORE ironic is Filho couldn't take him down!

Well done to Filho for winning but SOnnen should have won that fight!

Well, like you said Filho got a win he shouldn't have because of an over confident guy. Sonnen should have kept it up, and got so confident it seemed that he figured he could take it anywhere he wanted. A learning mistake, and one he'll be kicking himself in the ass for. He is good, and I thought he would get beat badly, but he got beat stupid

Faber is a beast!! I actually picked him to lose a close decision, but that boy is intense and you can just see he doesn't at all like to lose and will fight tooth and nail every inch of the way. Very impressive IMO.

That Doyles or Boyles kid looks so funny fighting, but he got the job done with that Brazilian kid who really needs to work on his standup. Anyone ever tell him to not repeatedly back up straight with his head held high? Good little scrap though. And Jens is a little monster at 145. Cub got owned!!

The 1st fight didn't go long either, and I actually thought Gandulla would ko Marshall.

    Good fights though

My FOTY is Roger Huerta against Clay Guida. 2 CARDIO MONSTERS,crazy toe to toe trading,Guida took Huerta down at will, time and time again, devestating punches landed and an awesome come from behind vitory. Had Guida used a little caution in third round, been a bit savvy,he would have won. It was his ultra agressive but TOTALLY reckless style that let Huerta win. As for Huerta,he showed heart and courage but I thought Guida took him down easily, won most of the stand ups and showed alot more energy than him,so credit to Huerta for coming back to win. An AMAZING fight imo with possibly the greatest scene ever:

    Huerta reverses Guida,gets up.

Guida shoots(or appears to) shoot in for a takedown but STOPS half way.

By that time ,Huerta is already down to 1 knee ready to attempt to sprawl.

Guida takes a swing,MORTAL KOMBAT style uppercut on the Huerta who is one knee and nearly decapitates him/finishes him off.

Man Huerta is tough! How he survived thatmI'll never know. I thought he was OUT!!

Also,War Machine v Rollins was an awesome fight! So much blood and a great great finsh!! Although,my fave,War Machine, may have an abrupt end to his MMA career is he is found guilty of assualt charges. Honestly,I think he has lost something mentally, the guy is a lunatic!

I AM UBER HYPED ABOUT SEEING WANDERLEI V CHUCK/GSP-HUGHES3 AND SOKOUDJOU V MACHIDA.Wow!!

Mn you ain't lying Gamo!! I just saw the TUF finale and Guida/Huerta was a war!!.Couldn't gree more, Guida got reckless and got caught{several times}. I would hate to fight Guida, he's like a pit bull on speed Tough, tough dude; that knee he took would have put alot of people to sleep. Huerta, I love that dude, and he did wht he had to do to secure that win. He looked before the knee as if he had just about had enough of that Guida kid I like both so I wasn't pulling for either one; but I sure hope they have a rematch.

War Maching did excellent, better in a pinch than I would have thought him capable of.

Mac just owned that farmer boy; didn't think it would be as easy for him as that. Great fights though.

I haven't been keeping up with it as much lately and it seems like there are more organizations now? Is WEC the one on Showtime? Was easier to keep up with when it was just Pride and UFC.

Hey Gamo what's up with the War Machine guy and assualt charges? From where, the show, a fight, what?

So Mac won the Ultimate Fighter? Not surprising, what happened to that George guy, he seemed like one of the better ones.

WEC is the org. that is shown on the VS. channel. Elite XC is on Showtime.

George got KTFO by famr boy and when I say KTFO,I mean KKTTFFOO,I honestly thought he was concussed or something. It was a powerful shot. Famr boy fought Mac in the final and was SCHOOLED.

War Machine and a couple of his pals must have been outside a gym topless Im guessing. A guy with his friends saw them topless and made jokes about them? War Machine and co were offended so he proceeded to get the guy in a choke hold until the guy passes out.Hence assault charges. That's the story to the best of my memory. It's a shame,I really like war machine, the nicname, the cool grenade tattoe and he was always exciting to watch in fights. I also thought he was mentally deranged and emtoionally unstable!

    MY PICKS:

WANDY-CHUCK-I want Wandy to win(heart) but I think Chuck wins(Head)

Sokudjou v Machida-I want and think Ryoto is going to school this big mouth punk Sokou. Easy decision.

Hghes-GSP,I still wander about the short training camp for GSP but he is going to be motivated for this. I take GSP via stoppage in th second.

Man I wish we had a predicition league for this!

My predictions were not too bad. I'm not going to maon about the Wandy-Chuck fight and how my boy lost,BUT I will say this. Wnady has lost his fire. Anyone who has seen his career knows he has always had this fire in his eyes and his fighting style and that has been missing. From his entrance and his stare down, you could tell it was not Wandy there.

Chuck looked good and fairplay to him but I guarantee he loses his next big match. I don't think Chuck is back,I just don't think he is as faded as Wandy is. I am worried though, where does Wanderlei go from here? I'd like to see Chuck-Shogun.

I knew Machida would win but he totally schooled Sokoudjou. Machida is the Mayweather of MMA,technically gifted, skilled, intelligent and an excellent defence. I think he has what it takes to beat ANYONE at 205.

GSP did awesomely well. A pretty good show,I'm slightly sad though because I think it's the end of the legend known as the Axe Murderer.

I think Wandy needs a new training camp. Based on what I saw on UFC total access, it looks more like they're killing the guy rather than condition him. Too many camps these days focus too heavily on brute strength, and we have seen that this doesn't always win fights. Chuck, Kenn Florian, even GSP are examples of guys who aren't massive, but still effective. (although GSP is pretty ripped, but you can tell that's not the focus of his training.) Another example is how machida killed sok. Sok is massive yet he came up short against the less physically dominating guy. Anyway...

Chuck fought a perfect fight against Wandy. He fought tall and stayed outside. Wandy wasn't even connecting because Chuck used his height and reach advantage perfectly. Wandy is not done... he just needs new philosophies in his corner.

I agree with your analysis that they were killing him BUT,it's not just that. As I said, the fire has gone. The intensity isn't there. When was the last time the words Wandy and nervous/apprehensive were in the same sentence?Yet that would describe perfectly his performance in the first round. He just seemed to lack the fire he once had.
