    It's all hypothetical but who do you think would have done big numbers today?

    Ali ,Henry Armstrong,Robinson,....this could very easily turn into a top P4P list........Ezzard Charles They dont stack PPV's as before.Alot of the times the undercards are so-so to sub-par.Remember those early SET PPV's (King) ?those were huge .

    Sugar Ray Leonard would have been a huge PPV draw, maybe close to the lines of Oscar De La Hoya

    I'll do one for each division.

    Heavyweight = Muhammad Ali
    Cruiserweight = Rocky Marciano
    Light Heavyweight = Bob Foster
    Super Middleweight = Chris Eubank
    Middleweight = Julian Jackson
    Jr Middleweight = Terry Norris
    Welterweight = Sugar Ray Leonard
    Jr Welterweight = Julio Cesar Chavez
    Lightweight = Ray Mancini
    Super Featherweight = Bobby Chacon
    Featherweight = Salvador Sanchez
    Super Bantamweight = Wilfredo Gomez
    Bantamweight = Carlos Zarate
    Super Flyweight = Johnny Tapia

    And of course for Flyweight, Light Flyweight, Minimumweight, Jimmy Wilde, Michael Carbajal, Ricardo Lopez, ETC.

    The ones i chose on my list IMO there is mixture of great personalities, 1 punch KO artist's, Exciting styles, ETC. I think they would all do great numbers now.

    Agreed. Ray Leonard was the first name that came to mind when I saw the thread title.

    Olivares,Arguello,Leonard, Duran,Sanchez, Gomez all would have brought in mega PPV bucks today!
    Personalities in the HW division like Dempsey and Baer, great champions like Louis, Marciano and Ali.
    Robinson and La Motta would have been huge draws.

    Ali would have made Oscar seem like an undercard in terms of draw......Ali and Frazier 1 had close circut viewing....I think it was something like a room with a bunch of Televisions with a live feed in it at a few locations....they sold out at $25 plus a ticket......when you compare them it comes to like $100 plus today...and on a B&W TV!!!!.......

    To guarentee getting into the fight Frank Sinatra worked as a photographer for Life Magazine....Now when Sinatra was unsure about a seat what does that tell you?......

    Other guys....

    Hearns, Marciano, Duran, Sanchez, LaMotta, Dempsey,

    Alexis Arguello and Roberto Duran would have been HUGE!! How about someone like JCC?SRL would have been the biggest along with Ali. I don't think Locche would have been though. He had an amazing defence but was not an action fighter and usually threw single shots. I think hardcore fans would have loved him but he would not have been mainstream imo.

    I wonder if fans today would pay to see guys fight each other multiple times,like SRR and LaMotta?
