    Default Couture turns down(ducks) Nogueria.

First Radny whines and bitches that he does not get enough respect even though he is paid millions and millions(in essence complaining that Chuck and others got bonuses he didn't get it,as if he needed it) and now,he says he will stay with the UFC/try to resolve the issue BUT he turns down the chance to fight Nogueira? Who does he think he is going to fight? Fedor? He wants to make movies, come back and fight Fedor? Talk about being pampered. To be the best, you beat the best. Why not fight Nog,finish the contract and then fight Fedor or something?

I was initially on Couture's side but I find his comments during the whole situation somewhat disrespectful towards Nog and he keeps whiing it's not about the money when in actual fact, that is ALL it is about...money. Comments such as I don't want anyone but Fedor,no-one else worth fighting etc.

I personally think Randy has proved that he will fight anyone in his long career, I wouldn't say he's ducked Nog. He's old and has beaten Sylvia and defended his belt against Gonzaga. There's nothing else for him to prove anymore except to fight the #1 HW in the world, which is Fedor.

Fighting Nog will just set him up for more title defenses if he wins or trying to climb back on top if he loses. I don't blame him at all, he's telling the UFC 'get me Fedor or I'm done' and I can respect that.

I think he wants one more fight and one more fight only. When you think about it, he went out the champion, and Fedor was the Pride champion. so he probably see fighting Nog as a no-win situation. In his mind the best should fight the best, not go through an elimination bout. With that said, I think he could bean Nog, but I also agree with him to some extent. He shouldn't have to prove anything and should fight nobody but the reining champ in another org to unify.

i think Couture has more than proved himself, he has fought the best beaten some lost to others, but that old man is still in his game....nog is nothing really to him, he is good don't get me wrong but on other boards all i hear is Fedor Fedor!! like he is some kind of god....c'mon i suspect those hand injuries come from crappy technique not all power...and if i was Couture and thinking one last time? i'd go for the best...remember that old fight with Ali and Marciano? we all wanted to see the dinosaur versus the young lion...and i htink that still would hold.

CC to you all. I was looking at this from the wrong perspective. If Couture was young and turned down the Nog fight,I'd think he was ducking. However,he is anything but young and yes, probably only has 1 fight left so let is be against the best. Yeah,I was wrong here. CC's guys, good points.
