Default Munoz vs. Kawashima set for Jan. 14 in Japan!!!!

I just read that WBA Super Fly. champ Munoz is set to fight Kawashima in Japan on Jan. 14th, 2008.... Fucken! Nice

2008 sure seems to be keeping the ball rolling with great matchups....

Although not a fan of Kawashima for what happened to Navarro in that fight he's still shown class. I don't see him doing any better then what he did with Mijares matter a fact I think Munoz stops Kawashima somewhere around the 7th if Munoz fights aggressively if Munoz decides to be conservative then he'll outbox him thru 12 for a comfortable UD. It should be noted that Munoz is 6-0 when he's fought in Japan.

Munoz is a very underrated fighter. Kawashima ain't bad. But he's getting up there in age and I don't see him having the firepower to match El Explosivo. Munoz by late stoppage

What happened in the Munoz-Nashiro fight? Know he won a decision, did he dominate the fight?

Would expect Munoz to win this one.

Completely outclassed Nobuo... Still can't believe the amount of people on here who picked Nobuo to win it.
I mean nothing against Nobuo but the title he got was... How can I say this.... won on a stoppage due to a cut.
and IMO was behind on the cards.
    Anyway....

I can't believe I'm saying this but 08 MAY be better than 07?! This should be a good fight,I like watching Munoz when he is agressive,I LOVED his wars with Castillo. I hope there is a third someone down the line. I love how Munoz goes to Japan and beats guys in their own backyard, that's a brave fighter right there.

2008 Will be better than 2007 i have been saying this for ages we already have some great fights already set up for 2008. 2007 was great but i think 2007 was just a taster for even bigger and better fights to come in 2008.

I'm with you Gamo, absolutely loved the second Castillo fight!!! Munoz/ Castillo 3 should be next!

Munoz over Kawashima by wide decision in this one though for me.

Default Alexander Munoz v Katsushige Kawashima

They fight next week in Japan,on Monday. Both are very very good fighters. Munoz, hard hitting WBA world title holder and RING number 2 and Kawashima, although getting on in age,has faced alot of top top fighters and was the fomer lineal champ.I'm going for Munoz to win,I think he hits too hard for the aging Kawashima but it should be a very good fight.

The winner of this fight is primed to face the winner of Castillo v Montiel in a unification bout. This year is just amazin. Add Sidorenko-Hasegawa,SOlis-Calderon and the lighter classes are having some serious wars and unification maches going on!

I think it's going to be Munoz v Castillo 3:would be a fine trilogy, anyone who has not seen their second fight MUST MUST see it,it was a WAR!! Very close fight oo,Martin got the SD but an argument can be made that Munoz won.

well apparently Munoz won a decision.

I don't see a result at all for Gonzalez, boxrec still has his fight listed for today but the fights are over.

    Both won UD...

So 'Chocolatitos' KO streak ends at 16.... Good to see he went the distance 'tho but I'm in the process of seeing that fight if time permits it.
