Default Jame Kirkland v Joel Julio in the pipeline?!

Man,I posted yesterday that I wanted to see the young guys at 154 fight each other and KTFO the older guys who are killing the division like Spinks,Simms and Vernon and guess what, this fight is being lined up!!!! What a WAR it would be. I'm not a huge fan of either but they are dam exciting fighters and it would bw a fine fight. Kirkland KTFO Julio in 9.

I think this fight goes the distance and I don't think it'll be a brawl or anything...

If it comes off I'd have to side with Julio here I think hes more skilled and has the fundamentals down more. Kirkland to me still looks amateurish from the 3 fights I've seen him in. He has show composure and heart but I just feel Julio is more skilled and will outbox Kirkland throught.

Nothing wrong with wanting new blood.... BUT, do you honestly think Kirkland or Julio could beat Spinks, or Forrest?? I'd give them basically no chance. I also don't see how Forrest or Simms are killing the division. Vernon has looked great in his last 2 fights, he's certainly not a boring fighter..

I like a slugfest as much as the next guy but Kirkland makes Mayorga look like a fluid technical fighter. He has human highlight knockout reel (both ways) written all over him.

I think Julio can maintain his boxing discipline after a early onslaught and take Kirkland down the stretch......no pun intended.

Huh?! No way bro, think you're way off here. 2 guys that only know how to fight coming forwards. I can imagine Julio being gun-shy,Kirkland bum rushing him and making him fight. Julio is more skilled overall but he fights at a slow pace as seen in the Rivera fight and if you push the pace,he can't handle it well. Kirkland can do that. I'm not a fan of either, both are flawed but I don't see anything other than a war in this fight.

I didn't say they would beat the older fighters, but I did say I WANT them too. Vernon looked good v 2 ancient fighters,he did what he was supposed to. As for them killing the divsion:how about calling everyone but each other out. Not fulfilling their mandatories so they can have bigger fights. Verno Phillips v Spinks and Sergio Martinez v Forrest aren't bad fights, why don't they get their mandatories out of the way first?

It's their inability to make the big fights(for whatever reason) and time wasting that is kiling the division.Simms is boring and inactive and Alcine isn't getting the big fights. The 1 main guy I liked,Karmazin, who stayed active and wanted to fight everyone lost yesterday...

Wow, I like Karmazin, good fighter. How the hell did Bunema beat him yesterday?!?! Never heard that, really shocking. And I know you weren't saying Julio or Kirkland would beat Spinks, or Forrest.. Trust me man, I don't think there are many ppl who don't WANT Spinks to get KO'ed every time he fights.

    screw all the ifs...

I want to see Kirkland vs. Alfredo Angula... what a war!!!

Julio is the better boxer, but he is not a real 154. He belongs at ww, but he is not good enough to hang.
