I there another journeyman with a record like his? His record is like who's who of British boxing check it out on boxerec. He's fought just about everyone from 122 to 147 in the last 15 years and never been knocked out.

I saw the Naz fight again the other day after pulling out a random disc. Anyone bigger than Naz that he fought?

Turns out he's been knocked out 10 times. Acelino Freitas knocked him out, but the rest of the guys who's names I recognized (I didn't check too close) went the distance with him.
I think that has more to do with the length of his fights (4-6 rounds) than him being some tough journeyman.
Not bigger than Naz but he's fought a few world champs Paul Ingle, Johnny Bredahl, Duke Mckenzie, Scott Harrison, Gavin Rees. And he's fought Michael Brodie and just about everybody round that weight in the domestic scene in the last 19 years.
I think they're TKOs, still some record don't you think? And add Frietas to the list of champsOriginally Posted by frozensolid_702
Yea i've heard of him i see about him in the paper 2 years ago when i was randomly looking through the pages. I've seen a few of his fights tough guy you have to admire guys like Peter.
You'll find a good read on Buckley on boxing monthly online.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

There was a documentry about him on TV a while ago seems like a real nice family man as well you have got to admire journey men like him cos without him who would the prospect fight.![]()
I realise that this is a trinute thread pretty much and I hate to take away any fighters credit, but....welll, Peter is a jobber.
He's a chin thats there to los and make young guys look good in the process.
You see a guys record, fights like Hamed, Harrisson, Freitas....a decent fighter would have drawn expierience fom those fights and made something of his career.
But Buckley participated in all these fights and continues to lose against unknowns and up and comers.
He lacks a fighters mentality.

Maybe he don't get paid to win. He takes fights at 48 hours notice and never turns a fight down regardless.Originally Posted by hitmandonny
