    Default Jeff Lacey

People talk about all these great match ups at 168 none of them include lacey. i know Calgazhe gave him a boxing lesson but there are still people i would like to see him fight. We knew lacy was never that great but he was a large part of bringing the 168lb division back to the spot light. He a had some entertaining fights. Not only that but he was a belt holder that fought often.

Did you see his last fight vs. Manfredo?

The type of injury that Lacy sustained is not one that can be shaken off. Baseball pitchers most often suffer that kind of injury and they are never the same. A rotator cuff injury is painful and very damaging to your arm.
To me it's only a matter of time before Lacy looses to just about anyone.

I would like to see how Lacy would do against Mack. I beleive Yusaf Mack would win, but would be a great fight.

I think Mack would shut him out for 10 rounds for an easy points win

Lacy were'nt that good before Calzaghe i say he gets another defeat in his next 2 fights he just is'nt that good if Manfredo had won i would'nt have disputed it.

I actually don't think it would i think it would be a one sided victory for Miranda.

In my mind Jeff is a guy who's been wrote of unnecesarily.
I fully realise he was horribly exposed against Joe and he has looked poor since, but I don't rule out some redemption for this guy.
He looked ring rusty and gun shy against Manfredo and got away with it. Let his next fights tell what he's worth.

i agree with the hitman, lacy is dangerous and like he said in an interview about tarver he needs more fights, with someone like jeff altho a big puncher he needs time to wear people down he cant afford to be rusty for a few rounds. i think he will be a champion again, would be nice to see him unify aginst kessler in the future. saying that if taylor pavlik and miranda have joined the mix by then it will be the most exciting division since the welterweights of 2006 & 2007

    dont write jeff off tho

He was exposed way before Calzaghe fight.

ice i disagree with that. he was a favorite and considered a monster at 168, yes he may of looked poor against sheika and one other but by no means was he exposed

Well the reason I don't agree with that is because he was such a heavy favourite before the Calzaghe fight. It had bee expected that Jeff would severely beat Joe and that Joe was nothing in comparison to the Lacy steamroller.

It was a commonly held belief among experts that Jeff was the best Super Middle in the world and whilst that was the general opinion he couldn't have been exposed before that.

A lot of people had not seen Lacy vs Vanderpool or Lacy vs Sheika, if they would have watched those fights. They would of realized that Lacy was severely overrated, and i find it hard to believe that if people did watch those fights that they would of picked Lacy to beat Calzaghe. I predicted Calzaghe would win by at least 5 rounds, i'll admit i didn't think it would be as one sided as it was. But i still thought Calzaghe would win pretty clear cut UD, Lacy was always 1 dimensional Vanderpool, Sheika, are mediocre fighters and if your supposed to be *Mike Tyson Of Super Middleweights* you don't struggle with mediocre fighters like Vanderpool or Sheika, even if Lacy wouldn't have got beat by Calzaghe he still would of lost to the other elite Super Middleweights like Bute, Kessler, Mundine.

And 42 out of 43 *Experts* thought Tyson would batter Holyfield in there 1st fight, and also these so called *Experts* believe ODLH vs Mayweather was razor thin close fight. I don't pay attention to these so called *Experts* i go with my opinion's and my own views.
