That was a kickass movie if I've ever seen one. The suspense will just about drive a person insane.

I saw it on the big screen last christmas. 'Made me all jumped 3-5x while watching it. The "where is my dog" scene in the abadoned building was pretty fucking intense.

And I had to buy the 2-disc special edition last tuesday coz it's kick ass! Terrific role by Will Smith.

Also the part where he's hanging upsidedown. I was like "man, get your ass DOWN FROM THERE!!" And when he finally does and he starts crawling back towards his truck I was exclaiming "YOU BETTER HURRY THE FUCK UP, it's almost dark!!"

If you have the DVD, did you see those automated comics or whatever they are in the special features section? Those too are nice.

Yeah. When he got out-smarted by that one particular monster/zombie. I was like, WAKE THE FUCK UP! IT'S GETTING DARK! HURRY HOME! lol! And he got stabbed in the leg by his own knife when he landed on the pavement.

When I first watch it in the theater, I didn't know what the movie was all about. That's why I got all jumpy and stuff. lol!

I love those bonus features. It's worth buying. I recommend it to everyone.

I enjoyed the film and I am glad I bought myself a copy. Still, I thought the CGI was terrible!

And once the woman and boy showed up the film took a turn for the worse in my opinion. No matter how you slice it the scenes with him reciting Shrek and getting the woman to listen to Bob Marley were weak.

I'm with you about the CGI being crap. But it didn't bother me that much because it's a fast pace movie (from middle to end). And the Shrek part was kinda corny, you're right.

But overall, I'd still rate it 2 1/2 stars out 4, or B+.

I like Shrek, but the part where he watches Shrek and listens to Bob Marley was kind of pointless, so the 2nd time I watched it I just skipped those scenes.

Another very creepy feature about this movie is when it's dark outside and he can hear those mutants roaring from (not so) far away. The 2nd time it's because they've found where he lives and are coming to get him.

Thought it was a very good film, could have gone into more detail and was to short but it was enjoyable.

    will smith was great

    but i hated the movie..

they RUINED the book, which was awesome..

the movie suffered from a few bad cheesy modernizations.. The Omega Man and The Last Man On Earth were both better movies..

If you remake a remake of a remake, and then add cheesyness to it, you're bound to fail.. hence I Am Legend..

like, oh, of course, the night that they all come to your house, you've finally realized that you FOUND THE CURE.. I mean come on, a 7th grader can write that shit..

Anyone who liked the movie i encourage you to read the book and then reevaluate your thoughts.. the book is completely different and superior.

Got to agree with rp33 somewhat, I liked the movie but they somewhat ruined it with that ending! It just seemed so pulled out of their ass...other than that tho good movie.

I heard there was an older version of it, but I'd never seen it, and I did not know there was also a book. If I had read the book or seen any of the other 2 versions, I probably would not have like it as much.

Yes, instead of killing himself, he should have pulled the string out of the grenade, tossed it at the mutants, and then jumped in the coal chute with the woman and boy and all 3 of them would have survived. Another thing they could have added was showing them get the hell out of the city and to the town at the end. That would have made the movie just a bit longer (as it is kind of short).

i didn't think the movie was short as a whole, but the ending was too quick..

you had will smith living his life on a daily basis and tons of his daily life was shown throughout the movie.. and then BAM the ending hits and everything happens.. this made the movie seem short because the time frame of the first part of the movie seemed dragged, and the ending was too quick..

the book is completely different.. there is a love interest, and she is one of the vampires (btw they're VAMPIRES not MUTANTS or ZOMBIES or anything else people are calling them).. the love interest vampire convinces him to take this pill at the end of the book which kills him..

in the movie they humans have no communication with the vampires and if i remember correctly that bitch and her son weren't even in the book.. completely different..
