Default A Curious detail about Kessler's opponent Sartison.

Just trying to learn more about Kessler's next opponent and I came across some curious links to my own gym!
Sartison is listed in many sources as a Light Heavyweight.

Two fighters I have trained with Michael Sweeney and John Timlin have fought one "Roland Horvath" with Timlin beating him on points and Sweeney stopping him on points, see my article on Bernard Dunne vs. Machado for more details on that.) Sartison stopped Horvath in two rounds some time ago.

However, my point is. Horvath, although a journeyman, campaigns at Cruiser and Heavyweight! Although he has been stopped (10 times I believe) most were against Cruisers or above.

So that suggests that this Sartison can crack as he took him out in 4!

I'm a big Kessler fan...but I've grown a bit disappointed with him laying on the sidelines & then coming back with a fight against...whoever the fwock this cat is.

I would have rather seen him in with Bute or someone more worthy.

    But that's just Wacko!

    Interesting....

Maybe the droping down in weight might affect his power?
    Who knows...

Hopefully this fight is a sign of good things to come for my boy Kess.

I have no problem with Kessler having one confident booster fight, by the way he has been talking he seems to be wanting the big fights with Pavlik etc. After this fight although i was a tad disappointed he turned down Miranda fight, i thought that was very winnable fight for Kessler, and it would of got him right back in the picture.

From what I've seen from Sartison he has some power, but not as much as your observation would suggest...His ko ratio would be better IMO if that would be the point...

I was actually alluding more so towards his chin and style, if he's been operating at lh and cruiser.
