If the WBA did that, then Cotto/Arum would throw the WBA belt in a trash can. They're not going to let a belt get in the way of a mega-payday.

If they do, it's hard to say with Cotto whether he would take the fight, or give up the belt to fight Delahoya... Anyone have thoughts on what he would choose?

LOL, I didn't read the above posts.. But I agree.. A guy like Cotto can get the belt back any time he likes.... Big Payday's done come up every fight though.. And the opportunity to hand Delahoya a new hat made out of his own ass probably won't come up again... So I think they'd take it.. F the belt..

He was suposse to fight Yuriy but instead the WBA let him get a gimmie fight in Gomez.

I don't think the WBA will force him cause they know that he will bring them sanctioning cash.
