    Default Jim "the plank" Lampley

I have just finished watching the Cotto Vs. Margarito fight on HBO for the 12th time and I can't believe how the "plank" Lampley only acknowleged about 5 OF Margarito PUNCHES?

Manny Steward was commentating fair, Max was about 50/50 but Lampley only seemed to see Cotto throwing punches, as I say he only recognised 5 Margarito punches, hence "the plank".

oh by the way I see Margarito Vs. Mayweather going like Mayweather Vs. Castilio 1 but Margarito winning on points, when Mayweather fights on the inside he looks Manufactured, I can't see Mayweather getting KO'd but I see Maragarito winning by UD

That was the worse announcing I have ever seen. Lampley must go forthwith!

Please Lampley always has been like this. Also Cotto was doing most of the impressive work int hat fight. I mean Margarito was wearing Cotto down, but he didn't look very good until late in the fight. And Steward has always humped the leg of certain fights, and now Margarito is on that list, but he humps Oscar Dela Hoya's leg, he humps Margarito's now, same with Pavlik... seems like if you beat one of his fighters he loves you. Steward has always avoid acknowledging guys like MAyweather, Pacquaio for how good they are.

Also Margarito would get beaten almost every round against Floyd.

My favorite part in rewatching the fight was when Kellerman and Manny talked about if Cotto could keep up the pace all night. Lampley was shocked and outraged how they could question if Miguel could keep that pace up. Lampley sucks. HBO was sooo much better with Barry Tompkins back in the day.

Why is this brought up with regards to Mayweather vs Margarito Castillo threw WAY sharper punches at lightweight than Margarito is capable of, was much faster and better schooled, and just as rugged and durable a pressure fighter. Not to mention Mayweather comfortably won the rematch and hasn't been even close to beaten since in 6-7 years.
