Default It's time to pay attention to kubrat pulev!

The HW division is recharging. Some may factor into the Klitschko legacy. Others will stand ready to fill the void. It's time to pay attention to kubrat pulev! I really lilke this guy and i think he is one (Not the only one mind!) to watch! Pulev IMO is a solid bet to continue the success of eastern european HW's upon klitschko retirement!

He stands just a shade under 6’5. He’s in shape at around 250 lbs. He has a record of 17-0. Obviously the division will become much more competitive post klitschko and i think a new linear champ is a long way off but something tell's me pulev will be a major player post klitschko. What are your thought's on him?

He looks better than Povetkin. He seems to have bottle and a very accurate and effective jab but Saturdays limited opponent may have exaggerated that. He is a much better boxer than the eyesore that is Huck and has way better stamina than Povetkin. He would probably beat Helenius and that would be a good match but I think he should fight Chisora as should Povetkin so that their potential is really tested.

Still a fighter learning his craft too...

Would a crack at the winner of Solis-Adamek be too early for him? David Price would be a good too.

Does anyone like huck? LOL. Personally i enjoy his fight's.

Pulev seems like he'll be somewhat decent, but he's still miles behind Wlad & Vitali. Let's see Kubrat get shook up one good time by a power puncher then we'll judge him.

Because Wlad clearly passes that test with flying colors I thought Pulev looked promising for sure, a guy that size with a good jab who can fight 12 rounds is well ahead of most young HWs out there.

I like him but only seen him twice. Fights relaxed, punches from all angles and steps in and turns it up. Hopefully he'll get more exposure.

I'll refer you to Wlad's past....it's not about hitting Wlad it's about surviving what Wlad throws at you and all 3 of the guys that beat Wlad would agree with that assessment. Corrie Sanders (R.I.P) took some shots when he was swinging for the fences too.

Pulev is not a threat unless he's either got an air tight defense or can take a punch....if he can't do that he's not going to be able to compete with Wlad.

Other than the K-Bros, who would beat Pulev?

Thought he looked really promising saturday night, nice to see a heavyweight turn up fit and well trained, one to keep an eye on.

A lot of tough fights that he probably wouldn't take:

David Price beat him I think
Fury would be interest tho I say Pulev takes him
    Eddie Chambers
    Chris Arreola
    Seth Mitchell
    Deonthay Wilder
    Gerber

Pulev is a very good heavyweight and will be in some interesting matchups.

He wants to fight Wladimir Klitschko in Sofia, Bulgaria in the second half of 2013. Kubrat will be more competitive than the likes of Mormeck and Thompson.

Maybe, maybe not...has he had many tests yet? Fought the best of the contenders in order to better himself?
