my left oblique is quite developed from doing alot of side crunches and dumbell side bends however my right side is virtually non existant, its really annoying me and i cant tell why i might be neglkecting the right side but i dont feel like i have

does anyone know a way i could prevent this and get the right up in size and shape to match the left ??

also regarding side bends do they work the same side or the opposite cus i feel it pulling on both so for example does having the dumbell in ur right hand work the left side when u lift up or the right side ?
