Default Evander Holyfield's training regimine for Buster Douglas

    TRAINING STRATEGY FOR EVANDER HOLYFIELD

I thought this article was interesting breaks down exactly what Holyfield did and why leading up to his fight with Buster Douglas. I often see questions all over the web asking generally "How does a boxer train?"
And I know there are some great trainers on here as well as boxers that have great trainers so I didn't post this to say it is the right or only way to train, rather to give some perspective.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

A few tweeks here and there but thats relatively close
But Holyfield could have probably won that fight just by not showing up with man boobsBuster showed up at a few two many banquets in his honor

Holyfield really cleaned Buster's clock, didn't he? I think so he knocked him out in the 1st round. Evander was probably psyched because Buster had just beaten Iron Mike.

Holyfield KO'ed Douglas in the 3rd round with a counter right hand, Douglas threw his uppercut from way out there allowing an easy counter shot from Holyfield.

Oh believe me ever since i've seen that fight i've never even attempted it, i also hate when fighters throw long range jabs to the body. Because you leave yourself wide open and thats how Leonard got caught against Hearns in there 2nd fight.

But Holyfield was a master counter puncher and you certainly don't throw punches from way out there against someone as skillful at countering as Holyfield.
