**Wow!! What a KO Lindsay put on Matthews**

Yeah I seen it. I'm pretty gutted too. Cuz I like Matthews. Lindsay threw a great left hook, it was perfect the shot. Matthews was clearly winning up until that point and floored Lindsay in the 2nd. Ah well. That's boxing for you.

It was funny cuz at that David Haye press confernce I attended last month Lindsay was sitting behind me. I knew he was fighting Derry but I didn't take much notice or even say hello. I thought Derry woould beat him.

thats really really bad news for Derry now. Hes really in for it, ive not seen anything but this must be very hard for him. I think thats it for him now, I really do. Its a great shame because he has some much potential!

I don't think Lindsay will be the prospect that Matthews could have been.

I think Derry has many difficulties. After Choi beat him, I thought he looked a little weight drained. However he really doesn't have the power or chin to step up a weight and I thinkhe cuts far too easily. I thought he looked a little nervous and uncomfortable against Lindsay after Lindsay began getting through. Back to the drawing board. He needs to be fed a few bums to get his confidence back.

Lindsay vs. Appleby should be a great fight. Appleby looks a decent prospect from the 3 fights I've seen so should be interesting.

Not really no i never thought much of Matthews he was damn right embarrassing against Choi, the punches that were flooring him wern't hard punches at all and it looked like a strong wind would blow him over. He is domestic level fighter with a weak chin and decent boxing skills thats about it.

Matthews was another hyped up Warren fighter with a WBU title. He showed on Saturday night that the best he could really achieve is British level, if even that

Matthews was the favourite and was going to win the fight.. so it was an upset.

The loss wasn't a shock though. He has always looked fragile to me.. and was coming off a Choi battering.

yeah derry was ahead but getting caught more and more as the fight went on and i had a feeling something was gonna happen, but not something as dramatic as that! good fight and a great card, brilliant start for hayemaker promotions.

Derry may well have become a victim of his own hype.
Had Matthews not been touted for big things this loss would be seen as a routine step in his career which could be overcome.

Instead he has been beaten convincingly in the eye of the boxing public against a fighter touted as his "get back on track" fight.
