    Default What do you guys run? Who hasnt had any problems trojans etc?

    I have been running Zone alarm paid version.

    Spy sweeper and Lava soft and AVG which is all free .

    i notice when i run Lava soft its faster than spysweeper and catches everything spy does anyway.

    Now zone alarm is due for renewal which is the one that catches most virus stuff the free ones dont;

    I'm wondering if i should maybe Buy Lava softs pro version seeing that their free stuff has been so good and piss Zone off as it is really slow when doing a scan.

    Whats your favorite?

    Whats the best?

    what exactly do you use your PC for.. What are you downloading that could be a trojan? just curious..

    i have norton anti-virus run on it's own schedule.. i didn't even pick a time it just picks an idle time (i normally always have my pc on) and it runs.. it updates automatically and it doesn't annoy me.. now this is the first time i've actually used virus protection, it came with my computer.. otherwise i've never gotten one because i'm aware of what i download and what not.. so that's why i asked..

    i'd play it safe and use a few of them.. i have a friend who swears by AVG..

    anyway, the best thing you can do is disable your cookies, and make it so that it if you're going to a website you haven't been to before it asks you if you want to allow cookies.. It can get annoying at first but you get used to it, and it's well worth it.. you CAN get a virus from just going to a website, and also spyware and any other sort of malware.. I have been doing this, and i never have issues.. my shit runs just as fast as the day i got it..

    I got hit last night when trying a link for the Donaire,Arce card.

    Last week it was an auto down loader with tons of redirects.It kept booting me off of here,displayed "Invalid Member" but when I closed all programs to screen saver,deleted cookies,ran Ad-aware....I could still hear a fight playing in the background

    oooo kidss.. that will do it! didn't think of that.. if one pc gets a virus it doesn't necessarily mean that they all will, at all.. i mean, i guess it's a possibility if it's something that will effect the network, but i wouldn't worry about that.. you can really only get a virus via e-mail if you download an attachment, so as long as you know what you're downloading you're good..

    because vista needs to be updated hah.. fix bugs here and there..

    i also think it's because a lot of people may have pirated versions of it, and normally only one user with a cd-key can get the updates.. so if you have 10 people with one cd key then you won't be able to get the updates..

    but yes, nothing pisses me off more than when vista updates itself and restarts my computer automatically and everything i had on the screen is no longer there when i return..
