Default Is Mosley in to taste same fate as Oscar?

Shane Mosley has said he will knockout Antonio Margarito in their upcoming January 24 fight in Los Angeles. Does he still have all the tools necessary to pull this off or will we see him taste the same fate that Oscar faced this past Saturday in being KOED by a younger, physically stronger fighter? These times are showing thats its a new horizon in boxing where the best of yesterday are being replaced by the new pugilists breeds of today, a new era in boxing.

Pacquiao wasn't stronger than OScar, he was just a lot faster. I don't see MArgarito winning the same fashion at all. He isnt' a good enough boxer, and is too easy to hit, but he could still win every round, but I don't see him stopping Mosley who has too good of a chin and body for that.

This has the potential to be a dangerous fight for Shane. No question Shane is the faster, more skilled fighter. But Tony will be on him from beginning to end. Shane will have to be in a slick, counter punching mode...instead of looking to go to war. The only reason i will not completely discount Shane's chances are because Tony is so easy to hit. So if Shane was to fight the perfect tactical fight...or somehow manage to land that incredible shot...anything is possible.

If Shane backs up. He loses.

Well i think it comes down to it if Margrito can hurt Mosley i dont see the chance of Margrito winning the fight because he needs to break down the fighter he is facing it is part of his whole deal to break the fighter down if he can not do that then i think he loses by a ud in a close fight.

Well I figured Cotto would KO Mosley but Miguel took breaks.....Margarito doesn't break no matter what is coming back at him.

Antonio Margarito has the body type to beat Shane Mosley (tall and lanky), he doesn't have the style (Forrest and Wright) but he has enough output to really endanger Shane.....Oscar is going to thank his lucky stars he took the Pacquiao fight instead of the fight with Margarito!

Well I dont know Cuz, Pavlik got soundly beat by Father Time himself and then Oscar got the fishnets beat out of him by the smaller man that moved up from 106. So anything is possible. I hope Margarito stops him.

That's not really true. It's been pretty mixed in those regards, eg: Hopkins, Vitali Klitschko.

I can actually see Mosley clipping Margarito early on,effecting him noticably but Tony has great endurance, only gets stronger and varied volume will grind on Shane.I do not see Mosley going out with a whimper, very proud,....I thing he actually is going to bomb in spots with Tony and it will catch up to him, have Mosley on his heels, literally and I think he gos out on his shield.....or reeling and winging at the end of 12.Warming to this fight even more as it nears

I am a Mosley fan, but Margarito is not Mayorga and Mosley struggled to get rid of him with seconds to spare in the 12th.
Margarito is not as skilled as Mosley but he has an iron jaw and will wear the sugerman down i fear. I hope if things get really tough and they will, Mosley does the right thing and doesn't stick around for to much punishment.

I think Margarito stops Shane late after some rocky moments early on. Margarito TKO11. Neither has a great defense but I Shane looked old against Mayorga. His legs just dont look fresh and I think Tony wears him down and stops him on his feet.

If Mosley tries to fight Margarito how he fought Mayorga, flat-footed and throwing bombs, IMO he might get stopped this late in his career.

I think Mosley will get battered to be quite honest with you. I hate to say this because he is one of my favourite fighters who I have grown up admiring, but over the last few years I've seen all my favourites fade and take a beating (Tszyu, RJJ, ODLH and Evander just to name a few) but I honestly think that he would have taught Margarito a lesson in his prime.
