Default Is there a Champion at heavyweight?

What I mean by this is, is there a man who you would call "the man" at Heavyweight like Ali was in his day or Tyson or Lewis or all the other greats for that matter. I know that Wlad holds the WBO (if that can be counted) and IBF and I know Vitali has WBC and somehow that freakshow Valuev has the WBA. But for me no-one can be called the man and the only way for that to happen would be for either Wlad and Vitali to fight each other which for obvious reasons will never happen or someone beat Wlad or Vitali (Haye in mind) and then beat the other brother.

Anyway that is only my opinion, what do you guys on here think? Is there a man who you can 100% without any doubt call the Heavyweight champion of the world right now?

No, If the Klitschkos were to fight right now the winner would be "the man" as the Ring Champ. Since, they aren't going to fight each other someone is going to have to beat them both to become "the man"
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

For me, Wlad had pretty much established himself as The Man. However, after Vitali came back (strong) the picture is less clear. And since they won't fight each other, it will probably stay that way, unless someone finds a way to beat them both.

    Cue David Haye.

It would obviously be one of the brothers, but neither one is particularly dominant. I think Vitali is the more imposing, but the fact is Wlad has most of the belts. Hopefully either Haye or Gomez can shake it up. At least someone should do us all a favour and get Valuev out of the picture

I wish Haye would fight Valuev first as a warm up for Wlad. Then at least it would be a big unification fight and he would have experienced someone a lot bigger than himself.

Deffinitly, Wlad beat Peter but only on points and had to take a few scares along the way, then his brother batters peter after not fighting for 4 for years!!!

I dont think Peter would have lasted 3 roubnds with Vitali if hed fought him just after the Williams fight.

I think we are going to see an even better version of Vitali next time out as Peter allowed him to find his rythm and lose some rust, hes going to be much sharper.

I think he will have much more trouble with Gomez though, although I havent heard much of Gomez since he beat McCall in their rematch, Haye wont pose much of a threat, for all his talk he does fight cautious against strong opponents, Like Fragomeni, even Barrett Haye took his time, against Vitali Haye will wonder what he was thinking.

The Man in a way like those mentioned...Tyson, Ali, Lewis etc...well No TBH it is pretty damn hard to be as dominate as those 3 were in their primes.....

With that being said you would have to give the honors to Wlad at the moment..he is the most dominate one on the division...He avenged one of his 3 losses....He has somewhat unified a portion of the titles....So as of the moment he is the #1 man in the division....

Though IMO Vitaly is the best in the division...Wlad is the most accomplished

But to me when Vitali retired he was the man, he came back and (in my eyes) there was no man and won the same title he vacated 4 years earlier so wouldn't that make him the man? Or at least give him more right to that throne?

The title is vacant and will remain vacant; however, Wlad has the best claim.

Not in my opp...I do not believe that a fighter can leave then come back after such a long layoff to just reclaim their ststus when they left...It takes away from all the accomplishments of the fighters who worked hard in their absense..

EG- If PBF announced his return tommorow I would not put him as P4P #1 and remove Pacquiao or Calzaghe from their spots on the list....

Wlad has proven the most so you have to give it to him.

However, after the Rogan fight Audley said it was almost there, so if he tries a little harder he'll be "the man".

The Klitschko's if they won't fight eachother should be considered a unified figher of sorts, and in that sense they are definitely "THE" champion, but it also means that if they are considered seperately that there will never be a champion as long as they continue to dominate the division/ nobody can beat both of them/ nobody can beat Vitali.

Lol only 10? I was thinking of starting my own governing body! Only problem is what would I call them? Maybe the IWBFCOA! Or is that already taken? Could just award Evander the HW title then and he'd be a 5 time champ lol
