Default - Inkin dethroned by Balzsay!!!! -

Blazsay on the verge of KO'ing Inkin in the 10th round, he comes out guns blazing for the 11th round backing Inkin up...

Inkins def. lost something I used to think he was one of the better boxers coming up and I actually was very confident he'd beat Froch if they ever fought. He def. doesn't look the same here, his movement is just not the same.

Balzsays speed and jab is giving Inkin a lot of problems, Inkin can't shake him off. Balzsay is pretty much catching him with everything he throws.

I think Balzsay showed poise and always looked to be in crontol of the fight and the one making the moves...
From early in the fight Balzsay took the initiative and landed comfortably, Inkin just couldn't get his rythim. He did have his moments but they were few and apart.
Balzsay on the other hand fought a good fight and was always active and throwing punches.

Balzsay won by Decision. I didn't understand the scorecards or the actual decision I'd assume it was a UD, because I thought he won pretty convincingly.

That was a pretty decent fight...I had Inkin winning the first half, but I can't say if it was Balzsay skill that turned it or the fact that Inkin started to run out of gas in the second half...Both are skilled boxers, but nothing special...I don't think that either could beat Kessler or even Bute, who are IMO the best two supermiddles right now...

I think Taylor and maybe Froch could beat Bute!

I've been following Balzsay for a couple of years. Been very impressed with him, albeit beating lower tier fighters.

I thought he might stop Inkin. Good win (i haven't seen it) anyway.

Is this the Bute who has sent an offer to Jesse Brinkley for an IBF title shot ?

The guy who got his referee friend to save his life against Andrade ?

Bute is the most overated champion in the division. I cant forsee him ever facing someone like Froch or Kessler who would tap that chin.

Bazlsay will sit in Germany protecting his bauble for eternity now.

I figured Balzsay would win after I watched the Inkin-vs-Zuniga match. From the few rounds I saw, Inkin has the same style as Zuniga except he's more technically sound. I had a feeling with that style he'd have problems with a southpaw like Balzsay.

No its the same Lucian Bute who is the only man to stop Kabary Salem, who knocked down Joe Calzaghe very heavily and gave him 12 awkward rounds. Lucian Bute also beat Sakio Bika more convincingly than any other fighter Sakio Bika has fought including Joe Calzaghe.

He also thrashed Lolenga Mock a fighter who had David Haye in quite alot of trouble, and also knocked David Haye down. You haven't got a clue about Lucian Bute, his opposition has been pretty decent, and he totally outboxed Librado Andrade.

Except he got careless in the last round and decided to trade, which he almost payed for but didn't. The time in the round was over when Lucian Bute got up, Lucian Bute also beat the count. He responded to the ref's instructions. So no rules were broken there what so ever.

Librado Andrade did leave the neutral corner slightly, yes it was extreme of the ref telling Librado Andrade to go right back in the neutral corner. But Librado Andrade did make a mistake there, whether i agree with it or not.

None of the rules were broken the only rule which was taken advantage of. Was making sure Librado Andrade was in the neutral corner, but other than that Lucian Bute deserved the win he outboxed Librado Andrade all night, and he got up like a true champion.

what a shame, I was looking forward to my man to knocking out Inkin. If Inkin can get a few names on his record you never know he could get another shot at 168 title. The weight class is really entertaining and ill have to check Balzsay out

You clearly did not see Bute´s eyes and he could barely stand on his legs , no way was he able to continue, and he got all the help he ever could ask for.

I don't know how many times I have said this already. By the IBF rules, the fight was over as soon as Bute's gloves cleared the canvas, it doesn't matter whether or not he was able to continue. You can argue the fight should've been stopped prior to the KD or that Bute was allowed to hold and foul all night, but the end result went according to the letter of the law.

I am not a Bute fan for the record, but he would destroy Froch.

Lucian Bute looked at his corner he still had all his senses, yes he was badly stunned but he responded to the ref did he not ? he also walked back to his corner after the fight was over. I really can't believe people think the fight should of been stopped with no time left in the fight, it would of been one of the biggest robberies in the last few years had that happened.

Rewatched it...and Inkin ran out of gas IMO thats what lost him the fight...

BTW a little side-info...Balzsay is only the third Hungarian world champ...
