Default Antonio Tarver vs Tavoris Cloud

Lets say for a second that Tarver had some balls left and took this fight while Dawson is injured. Who takes it?

Cloud can bang. But I don't think he's as fast as Dawson. Which Tarver at his age has a hard time dealing with. Tarver, I think might still have enough left to pull of a points win. Would have no problem being wrong and seeing Tarver get knocked out though.

He's 19-0 with 18KO's. His last fight was a 10th round TKO victory over Julio Cesar Gonzale in an IBF Light Heavyweight Title Eliminator

    Hard hitting prospect.

I think Cloud would outwork Tarver. Tarver is still tough in his old age though, I voted Cloud points.

Uh, can I stand by my initial statement? He fought 2 guys with over 20 wins who DIDN'T get kayoed in their last fights. As much as I dislike the Magic Man I don't see anyone on that record on par with an Antonio Tarver. If he did take that fight he doesn't have reason to be quaking in his boots.

Of course not the top competition, but you can't deny his power.

I'd like to see more of him, but not against Tarver. Not yet. If that's typical Cloud I think he gets beat. Tarver doesn't get credit for a Class A chin and good defense. He'd nullify Cloud's power and peak in the holes of his defense. Tarver would pitty-pat to a W or wait until he had a big enough opening to take his heart.

Just because he hasn't faced an elite fighter yet doesn't necessarily mean he couldn't beat Tarver, who is not the same the fighter as he once was and imo, looks like an older fighter with rapidly diminishing abilities.

Tarver would take some knocking out but I think Tavoris would be the man to do it. I saw him fight Gonzalez and he was one hell of a tough guy to KO but he did it (although Jones should have done it but seemed to let him survive).
