    Default haha, Larry Holmes

noticed this when I was looking for stuff on the Kirkland arrest at another site, the lesson here is if you are not very good do not fuck with Larry Holmes, even an old Larry Holmes

watch all of it if you want but if you want to fast forward go to about 3: 40 seconds in and start from there

If the 40 year old versions of Larry Holmes and George Foreman were around today, they would be considered bon fied top rank Heavies and more than likely title holders... I definetly would pick George over Wlad any day of the week, and even an old Larry has a better jab than Wlad

Sure George had major pop even in his mid-40's but Wlad and Vitali are too athletic and just too smart to fall for what George brought to the table. Evander Holyfield tried to KO Foreman and he damn near got KO'd, he said "George hit me so hard it made my teeth rattle". I do think Tyson would have lost to Foreman simply because Tyson after jail was just KO-ing everyone or trying to KO everyone...he had trouble outboxing Frans Botha. His style would play right into Foreman's strengths kind of the way Frazier's did....sorry if people disagree with that but that's how I see it and that's why I think the fight didn't get made.

Larry Holmes was not a dangerous fighter like Foreman was in the sense that he wasn't going to blast someone good out of the ring in his mid-40's. He was always a top notch boxer though....but even in his prime he got caught with some big bombs.

I think a Prime for Prime Wladimir Klitschko-Larry Holmes match up would be a pretty solid fight.....I know people will say "It would be no contest, Wlad has no chin blah blah blah" but Larry had tough fights with guys like Renaldo Snipes and Tim Witherspoon, guys Wladimir could wreck no matter what you think of him. Either way it would be an exciting match with two highly skilled BOXERS.

We get it already Lyle! No heavyweight in history could beat a prime Wladimir Klitschko. Except of course Corrie Sanders. Oh and Lamon Brewster.

"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Trying to figure out the name of the welterweight that let Greer borrow those trunks on last minute notice .At certain times during that Holmes comeback, you would get a feeling similar to being at the circus after eating the 2 day old corn dogs w/heavy mustard.....and then riding the faris wheel.

No but you'll sit there and build up a fight like Wladimir Klitschko vs. God.

"Oooooh this would be a great match. Very close. If God couldn't get inside he'd be in for a long night eating jabs. And if he got caught with that right hand he'd be out."

You never come out and say Wlad would lose or Vitali. Its always lik e a 50/50 fight at best for the other guy, even if he's a legend.

    Its absurd.
