I'm kind of digging it lately, does anyone have any suggestions of good artists/albums. So far, I've got an Aphex Twin album, some Brian Eno, and a Jon Hopkins album. What do you like?

Check out Tangerine Dream, they've been around for a long time, Got their start in 1967, and were still going in 2008.
Here's a vid I picked at random from Yutube, there's lots more.

Whoa.
I posted a long time ago about how an energy drink got me so jacked that when I watched an Ali highlight video I felt like God was in the room. I actually had one of those moments. That music kind of reminds me of that moment.
That makes me want that energy drink again. I would never even think to listen to this.q
Yeah amat, it's kinda like mood music, or elevator music, it's good background music, but I suppose you don't really just listen. Which is why they call it ambience music I guess.

I was posting last night with that music in the background and my posts felt like the most epic posts ever. Maybe I'll put it on again next time I decide to disagree with saddoboxer.
Astral Projection...here is the only one I listen to, but I like putting it on repeat when I am running.

CFH,
What I normally do when I'm after a certain genre of music is I go to YouTube type the music and then look for playlists then I click on "play all" and just listen as the playlist goes on.
Anything that catches my attention or whatever I just write down and then download from whatever source I use, which is mainly LimeWire.
Here's several playlists for ambient music...
YouTube - ambient music
A few years back one of my best friends moved to Redondo beach, CA and the a group of us got a party van for his last night here.
I was taking benzos at the time and had been drinking hard the whole night.
At 6 am everyone was passed out and it was only me and my one other friend still up. We were sitting in his car drinking and the sun was just starting to rise. He put on Brian Eno and said I had to check it out...I dont know if it was the benzos, the gallons of alcohol, the lack of sleep, watching the sunrise on a beautiful day or what but I zoned out to the Brian Eno and felt so peaceful and transcendental about every thing; had all these unrealistic carpe diem type thoughts, etc
Never progressed my ambient tastes past that very much, woke up with a brutal hangover later that day, but still have a handful of Brian Eno songs hiding in my ipod somewhere.
Turn your next lovemaking session into ambient porn with Rosie and Ash ra temple...
