Gavin does not have much punch power which might cause problems for him as he steps up in class.
Balls
His nickname is Fun Time....he should stop partying and take the sport seriously...then only then he might accomplish something
job biscuit (Windsor half marathon this weekend)!!!
eh eh!!!
I heard he has parted ways with Farnell which could be a good move depending on who takes over. He has the skills for sure but he shouldn't have been made to work so hard by Woodhouse (no disrespect to Woodhouse but i think they were leagues apart) I think gavin took it lightly and woodhouse was 'up for it'.
Gavin never looks particularly fit which might be why he is finding fights tougher than they need to be.
Hopefully he will get his head screwed on right and come good. I think his punch power may cause some problems but if he sorts his fitness out it might make up for it.
Gavin is now in London with Jimmy Tibbs.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Gavin wont do much I dont think, the reason he has left Arnie, is the fact he was seeing Ronnie Hefrons sister who is also a gym mate and I think it turned sour and he basically had to leave Manchester, not sure how bad the break with his bird was but it couldn't of been comfortable sharing the gym with his ex mrs two brothers.
Arnie was more like a best mate than a trainer I think Tibbs is a great move and the sparring with Mitchell will be a bonus. Frankie has admitted that upto now it was his diet that was the problem and the nutrition side rather than the training he is a hard trainer and does all that is asked of him but he lets himself down with the diet side of it. Lets hope he sorts that out now, I just can't see him doing much at a higher level nice skills but gets hit to much and he has zero power.
I think Theophane beats him now if they met.
Cheers for that fenster, it was probably in Boxing News that does ring a bell
skel1983, i agree Theopane wins if they met now. I thought that might be close to happening, Theopane was at Gavins fight against Mutley in May.
I think that his team might keep him at the level he's at now for a while just in case they step him up in class too early and he finds himself in a place he's never been and it will be too late to step back down.
One other point Gavin's in fighting cut's seem to be a problem, and power well i dont think he will ever be a KO king as a pure boxer he very good, But i dont think the pro game is not for him.![]()
