Sky Sports | Boxing | News | Khan eyeing Hatton bout

Do you think this will happen if Khan beats Kotelnik? Is it good for U.K or world Boxing? Personally i'm not sure it will happen or prove anything but if it does it could end Amir's career prematurely and will give neither fighter much credit in the eyes of most worldwide boxing fans and the fighting press. On the upside two vunerable fighters with a big clash of styles will make compulsive viewing for some.

Good fight for Amir, we all saw what happened when he faced a young hungry fighter.

If he beats Koltenik it's more likely to happen.

    This has been covered;
But I think Khan will win, Ricky is a fighter, Kahn a boxer ,Ricky is at the end of his time and fights too square on and flat footed and so gets caught harder by men on the move. Kahn only has to come in fit as he can be, move around for four rounds, snap and catch then move, do what happens natuarally; then Ricky will be there to be picked off in the slow motion gaps that appear later.

Ricky may win, but it'll be early on if he does get to connect in close without paying.

Good for England to see him out with a home fight though; but I think he gets finished in this one maybe embarrassed just one more time.
People bring up Kostya all the time and expect more out of Ricky but Kostya was in the fighter mindset too and Hatton was at the top of his own game then and hungry as they come, it was fighter meet fighter made for each other and the better man won for that time.

I see Hatton-Khan as 50/50 match up. Khan is taller, has longer reach, maybe slightly faster, and he's got some pop with his punches. But he's not a southpaw.

Judging from what I saw of Hatton on You tube a few days ago, he is rotund and semi drunk. If he is to fight on, for the love of god (always good to add a few words regarding the lord) I hope he decides to take things seriously and stop eating the pies and drinking the guiness for a year or two. It's not too much to ask of a pro boxer IMO.

Hopefully, Kotelnik will beat Khan up, but if not I hope a determined Hatton can beat the living daylights out of Amir Khan instead.

Rotund is the word for Hatton!

I've actually seen Hatton twice since his loss to Pacquiao and got my pic with him both times. First time in an Irish bar in Vegas a few days after the fight and he was absolutely arseholed. Second time a couple weeks back in an Irish bar in Dusseldorf. Again he was drinking Guiness but this time round he was a right Porka!

the last time i talked to his agent (2 days ago) and suggested it was gonna be khan.

He gave me the answer he has prob been telling everyone... that they are getting the summer out of the way before making any decisions on the future.

in a way i think its good that they aint announced anything because we all remember Naz and his comback a week announcements

i personally think if he does it will be 100% be against Khan and i have said this from the start because....

Khan will see him as a shot Ricky and another past his best great name on his record.

Ricky will see Khan as a easy night at the office.

so it wouldn;t be hard to make

It's bad enough that boxing kills brain cells it seems foolish to add drinking to the mix. Long term it can't be good.

a really hope this fight happens,a cant see how hatton will lose imo he will ko him inside 3 or 4 rounds and he could even beat him easy over 12 rounds, lol and what will khan and his camp say after he gets a beating from a so called finished hatton

    Slightly?!?!?

Something tells me you haven't been paying much attention... anyway, as I said in a previous thread, I think Khan dominates Hatton if he comes out like he did against pac man. Although if he comes out and fights like he did 2 or 3 years back then we'll see a TKO/KO for Hatton.

Hatton cannot deal with speed and combinations. Therefore he will lose badly.

Think Hatton's camp are awaiting the result of Khan - Kotelnik. I'd actually give Hatton a much bigger chance of beating Kotelnik, but seriously wouldn't fancy him against Khan. Too fast.

Kahn has to get past Kotelnik first. The idea of a Hatton kahn is a money fight of the highest calibre. I'm gettin sick of this money spinnin crap. They should make it a catchweight, that would be the icing on the cake.

I'm a boxing fan, and what i wanna see is........

    Kahn vs Prescott

    and

    Hatton vs Witter

I think it will be an exciting match, and believe Hatton is the tougher of the two, has more to prove and will make a good a showing and pull off a big win.

Anyone think Khan is over looking Kotelnik? I hope Khan losses dont like his cockyness.

I think Hatton still has enough left to get close to Khan and land the body shots he needs to win the fight.

Roach will say they know how to beat Hatton but that was Manny and Khan is'nt in his class.
