I think he can, I could see Froch winning as well, but Froch is a limited fighter in comparison.

I hope Dirrell cannot step it up as I want Froch to win the tournament.

I recon this tournament has come abit to soon for Dirrell and Ward to mix it with the likes of Kessler,Froch and Abraham.

I think there's a lot of uncertainty in this fight, maybe more so than some of the other ones. I could see Dirrell wilting under the pressure and getting stopped, I could see him building a lead and hanging on, or I could see him kind of dominating it, nothing would really surprise me that much here.

Some people who dare to be great....

I think these guys are ready for the tournament. Also they are in a far less vulnerable position earlier in their careers.
A loss for them, and they have time to win a few and go for another world title shot again. I just can't say enough good things about this tournament. Let's just hope that wanker (Kessler's old manager) doesn't mess it up for the rest of world!

I still think Taylor is going to give most of these guys fits. Hopefully they make these 10 round fights so he has enough gas left in the tank. LOL

Oh yeah... and btw... Abraham wins it all.

I think Dirrell can step up. I am going to be honest Froch is not that talented he seems to get by with toughness and some pop.Froch in a way has still been babied who he has fought besides Taylor and Pascal. Those two are the toughest he's been in with.Dirrell is not far behind those guy's. In my mind he is much quicker and slicker than either of those two but the question that he must answer is the chin. Can he dish it and can he take it and we do know Froch will be there in the end.I don't think Dirrell has the pop to stop Froch but he certainly could easily outbox Froch if his chin is solid.

As long as his chin holds up (And I think it will) Dirrell beats Froch and does well in this tourny.
The Matrix is a lefty , fast hands and good pop. He should be able to land on Froch all night while it last.

Froch has no defense and is totally overhyped after the Taylor fight. Froch is fun to watch and a good fighter. He showed great heart in the Taylor win but that was more about what taylor couldnt do and did wrong that what Froch did.

Am I the only one that thinks Ward is the guy that's gonna hev the toughest time in this competition strictly on who his first opponent is?

I think Dirrell has the style to beat Froch but the thing is does he have the maturity to not get reckless and make mistakes. Froch has shown he can lose 11.5 rounds and still win the fight. Questions about Dirrell will be answered

People are giving Froch a lot of love for a fight that he had to win by KO. Granted, he did do that!

I'm actually expecting Ward to be the one to pull out of the tournament

direll is nice when he decides to fight. He's fast as shit, switches without thinking, is strong, quick on his feet he's a decent fighter. His problem is simply his own ego. He doesn't even really know how good he is yet, but the potential is there. I think he or anyone in this tourney has the ability to beat froch, shit jermain taylor who i give almost no shot in this thing damn near did. Direll could loose and i'd be mildly surprised, but direll winning wouldn't surprise me at all. For a guy as slow and wide as froch is stopping direll from just pot shoting him is gonna be tough. He throws from both hands very quickly then uses his legs to dart out of the way......i'd much rather see direll rematch stevens to be honest.
