    Default Dosbox

I've recently downloaded a bunch of games which I need Dosbox to play, but I've never used it before and I don't want to fuck up my PC trying to set it up. Does anyone have any experience with the program and how to set it up/use it?

DOS Box as I understand it just means a Command Prompt window. "Start...Programs...Accessories...Command Prompt". But maybe your definition really does mean something else.

I read somewhere that incorrectly mounting the drive could cause problems.

Mount a drive on a Windows Box? I'm not sure we are on the same page. Do you have a weblink or anything for this?

This is a page explaining how to use the program, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for though.

Where did you download the games?

    DOSBox, a multiplatform PC emulator

here's a pretty good link. All I can say is do a little research, look for some reviews, maybe see if there is a user group somewhere you can connect with.

I use this all the time, its not as hard as it looks.
    first open the program,
it is like command prompt and is in the z:\ drive

you need to mount the drive your games are in:

my games are on my d drive in a folder called dosgames so i type
    mount d d:\dosgames

    now type d:\

now u have your drive where the games are
    type dir/w
this will show u whats in the folder

njow say i want to play wing commander, i type
    cd wings

    then
    wings

    hey presto

any problems give me a shout
