Do have to unlock Tommy Morrision?

I found out recently that Tommy Morrison is on this game and I just wondered if he was a character you can select straight away or do you have to unlock him, because if you have to complete the game on super hard mode I may never ever get to play as that character.

Not sure if its different on any other consoles but on the 360 you can select him immediately

Thanks for the quick reply, I've got access to a PS3, but I can't see it being different, nice one.
