Tyson to come to Wolverhampton
MIKE TYSON WILL VISIT WOLVERHAMPTON CIVIC HALL NOVEMBER 4TH
£25 TICKETS WILL BE ON SALE MONDAY 24 TH AUGUST FROM TICKETMASTER
Iron Mike Tyson today donned a Wolves shirt ahead of his first visit to Wolverhampton – but insisted the team’s betting firm sponsor be covered up due to his Islamic beliefs.
The 43-year-old would only be photographed from the shoulders up to hide the Sportingbet.com logo on the famous gold and black shirt.
Tyson, who became a Muslim in the early 1990s while in prison, comes to Wolverhampton later this year as part of his UK tour.

The former heavyweight champion of the world, and one of the most controversial figures in boxing history, is appearing at the Civic Hall on November 4.
Promoters have promised the father-of-seven will talk about everything from his three world titles and becoming the youngest champion in history, to his chequered past outside the ring, including a three-year jail term for rape, and life after his retirement in 2005.
Tyson’s visit to Wolverhampton is the first stop of the four-date tour, also taking in Braintree, Belfast and Cardiff.
Wolves signed a £1 million deal with on-line betting firm Sportingbet.com on March 31, marking the most lucrative sponsorship package in the club’s history.
The club has an alternative kit that does not bear the betting logo for children.
The shirts bear a Wolves Community Trust logo.
