    Default ITV sticking with boxing..

Did anyone read Boxing news looks like ITV are looking to saty with boxing, there numbers for the Barker v Butler fight on ITV4 of 625k look like the deciding factor.

Id get boxing back on ITV1, after all this reality shit im sure any sort of fight live on Itv would be watched by a few million. Lets just hope ITV get some promoters with a half decent stable maybe Hatton or even get Warren back.

ITV also say they are intrested in getting the Haye v Ruiz fight cant see that for one minute after Hayes last PPV success cant see ITV matching anywhere near the 5 million he got for that fight.

Overall it's good news we have more boxing on tv.

Good news! Hopeully they'll get a deal with another promoter, because some of the cards have been poor lately. At least they're sticking with it

I hope this is true, a real good fight audience for the Barker fight all things considered.

This has got to be a good thing, any competition to Sky's domination of coverage of the sport has to be a good thing. With just one company in charge of all boxing TV coverage, we'd end up with only certain promoters getting fights aired and the purses being pushed down for promoters, then less for fighters, as there's nowhere else for them to go.

    Good for ITV I say!

Agreed, I got ESPN thinking that they would carry on from where Setanta left off but they haven't and now i'm considering getting rid.

Carl Froch fights on Internet provider Primetime, which is part of ITV Media Group, this must be ITVs PPV platform, it has the same commentators, presenters(Rosenthal et al), and reporters. Also my problem is that ITV seem to have a lack of specialist personalities appearing on BFL, Lots of them cover footy but do the boxing once a month.

If they're getting in personalities from the footie, can I put forward a suggestion for them to get Chris Kamara in for one? That man could get excited and flustered watching a man drain pasta.
