    Default 24/7 changes the game

Bob Arum willing to get Manny Pacquiao to move on testing - ESPN

Now that major sports news outlets (ESPN, Yahoo) are covering the fact that Manny HAS had his blood taken in a prefight checkup (not a test for PEDs) only 14 days from his fight with Hatton, Arum is backtracking. Pacquiao has said that he feels taking blood before a fight weakens him and isn't natural but the video evidence of him giving blood for a prefight checkup is now backing him into a corner. Even Arum has said that the video footage has changed the game and once Mayweather's camp come up with a proposal for testing that he will try to convince Manny to take the fight. Arum knows that if Manny doesn't at least agree to testing up until two weeks before the fight what will happen. I think even Arum is getting tired of this charade and just wants to get the fight done. I think it will get done now that this 24/7 footage isn't just being talked about on message boards but now major media has picked up on it. Arum knows that if Manny ducks at least some form of blood testing two weeks before the fight that it's gonna look BAD. It's one thing to just dismiss Mayweather, but when you have major media in the US and UK (where Manny makes the majority of his money at) asking questions, then you better answer them. Hopefully, know we can get this fight done. Both guys are clean and ready to throw down in the ring to find out who's the best of this decade now. At least we have some better hope now...

I didn't even know about the blood test 14 days prior to the Hatton fight. Team Pacquiao's whole argument just fell apart. Manny, just take the random blood tests and let's see a clean fight.

Don't think it was a dope test, just part of his pre-fight physical.

However, it would make sense to test that blood if they are drawing it for that reason, surely they could draw a little bit more and test it.

I think a large part of the problem here is that Pac is so far away and in a country where the telecommunications system is pretty messed up. I have to occasionally call the Philippines for work and it's a nightmare getting through sometimes. Also, it's been Christmas so he's probably unwinding with family etc, but I sometimes wonder if he knows just how big a shit storm this is
