Brit is a shortened version of Briton, I don't see how that is offensive.

i think it's like the word niggah for the blacks. it's not offending when another black says it. i don't get offended by the word flips, but it's true a good number of filipinos would get offended by it and i can understand why. pinoy is the more acceptable term.
