    Default Gray Manard did well

I was happy to see him win, thought he did well considering the reach disadvantage he had,age and the style the fight fell into through the hatred.

Penn will be all over him like Rash though, think its a couple too soon for him.

He held his ground well. Personally though, I thought Diaz won that fight. But it was very close so it's not like it was a terrible judges decision. Gray has heavy hands and will always be a threat in the cage with anybody.

I thought Gray made him miss most of his blows in the first two rounds and took those rounds off him, scoring like boxing, anyway.

Different fight eh, more like a wild boxing match.

I wasnt impressed with Maynard to be honest, and neither was Dana White by the sound of it, as he gave Tyson Griffin the next shot against Penn when Maynard was due to be Penn's next opponent before that fight. I like his quick hands but he neglected his ground game, probably wary of Diaz's guard and the fact Nate caught him last time in the TUF semi final. Either way, this was a fight he needed to make a statement for the title shot. The bottom line is he didnt.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.

    Well he did win.

I dont think he is ready for the big guns either, but he may well get there,he isnt opposed to change by the look of him,so theres hope if he can keep his head and game plan in future.

At the moment I think Penn will sign his name on the canvas with maynards blood .

Did you see it as Nate won?

    Some did for sure,

I could'nt see it myself , not on split round scoring.

If it was one big round of fifteen minutes without the three seperate scores for each round, maybe it would be Nates on damage and more hits in the final round.

To be honest mate, I couldnt have argued if it had gone either way. Nate won the last round for me, although Maynard certainly won the last 30 seconds or so and landed some decent shots. The first two rounds were abit hard to call.
