This is not a bad fight at all just as good as Pacquiao vs Clottey i know it should be Mayweather vs Pacquiao but we aint got that and with a bit of look Mayweather will then either fight Mosley vs Berto winner or Pacquiao.

I think Mayweather should fight Louis Collazo and then the winner of that match should figt the winner of the Mosley Berto match-up. Collazo beat Berto on my card and he's certainly a top 5 welterweight for me..... Don't like Cintron.....
I think its a decent fight Cintron is a good puncher and a strong welterweight who's only defeats are from Antonio Margarito
it's on the same level as Pacquiao/Clottey, and Cintron himself has said he hasn't had probs making 147, and that he'd rather fight at that weight
agree though that Mayweather/Collazo wouldn't be a bad fight either, and if anyone at 147 deserves a big money fight (aside from Clottey) it's Cintron
And at least Mayweather won't be making them boil down to a stupid weight![]()
Yeah its better than Pac Clottey cuz Cintron can bang and is pretty quick. Clottey isnt a bager and he is extremely slow.
Cintron is not bad. Out of the ones available it is better than Nate, Paulie, M. Hatton, and maybe Bradley. It's not better than waiting for the Mosley/Berto winner or Paul Williams.
Why couldn't the fight be at 154 or a catchweight of 150 although I know everyone here hates catchweights. Cintron has been fighting at 154. His biggest win arguably - over Angulo - was at 154, and his draw against Martinez was at 154. No need for him come in weight-drained for this fight or have to worry more than he should about the weight for this fight.
Cintron had said in an interview after beating Angulo, that he'd still rather fight at welter and could still make weight without probs, so it's not like he's killing himself to get down at 147, so i doubt very much that weight will be a prob in this fight, not like in the Pacquiao/Clottey fight if it really were to happen at 144
That was due to headbutts, he was clearly outboxing Baldomir throughout the fight.
As to the thread title though, it's a reasonable fight to take on short notice for both Pac and Mayweather if this is in fact what's going to happen
Pac vs. Clottey = Mayweather vs. Cintron as far as legit short notice opponents.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Agreed while I do agree with Game about the speed but fact is Clottey has a more then solid jaw, a great defense and the guy fights to the end....His losses are close ones....The Margarito loss was due to Broken hand he was winning easy on that until then not to mention he is willing to bang so Tony did not really have the advantage their...
The Cotto fight was close as hell and the Baldomir loss was a DQ?
Clottey is more then worthy...
Cintron is a worthy opponent as well but his hear is a question for me
Cintron is the perfect opponent for PBF to look good against, both performance and image wise. Cintron is a true WW who has been up to LMW now, so that would answer a lot of the critics about the size of PBF's opponents. Plus, Cintron fights with his head straight up with no head movement, and I just think PBF would have a field day.
Yep ditto that...and after about 7 rounds with Cintron getting slapped silly he'll fold up and wouldn't be surprised to see him sit down and cry again like he seems to be genetically predisposed to do. But fair play Cintron is alot better opponent and a true WW and much better than Matthew Hatton as an opponent; what a joke that would have been.
