    Default BJ Penn

I get why some dislike him for his personality

but, fuck, that was just a clinic.

For some reason Diego Sanchez annoys me, I don't think he's a fake but the cartoonish staredowns, all that shit, meh, I'll pass.

But I at one point started to feel bad for him and I dislike him and BJ Penn may be favorite MMA fighter. It was that bad.

BJ's just a natural, fucking great fighter and I agree with Freddy Roach, his boxing if it isn't the best is definitley up there among MMA fighters.

Florian and Sanchez are no mugs. Especially Florian. And they were just dominated.

    Agreed !

BJ is one awesome athlete, total clinic on possibly the next best thing at 155. He showed exactly what ya need to do against ya closet rival in devastating fashion.

Cannot remember the last time i saw BJ throw a head kick, but geez after that one he should be doing more of them. Real nasty cut he opened up on Diego's head.

So, what or who is next for BJ ? As far as im concearned they will be wheeling them in then out again as losers, no-one touches him IMO. Awesome showing !

He's very good and athletic but I can't stand him for his lack of class and for accusing freely peoples of taking steroids or being with coated in vaseline to avoid takedown, Especially when these attacks are directed to GSP among others.

Agreed. The man is a pure undiluted natural though. Ridiculous talent, I just cant see him getting beaten at 155lbs. The UFC need to get Shinya Aoki from Japan, if BJ beats him, then he has cleaned up the worlds 155lb division.

Oh the guy has mad skills on the mat, thunder punches and a granite chin, damn damn good, just a douchebag. Aoki would be a good test and one of his final last opponents. Perhaps Jake shield's too?

I'm not sure Sheilds could get down to 155 to be honest. There is the possibility though, somewhere down the line, that Jose Aldo could move up and give BJ a run for his money. I think Aldo would want to defend his WEC featherweight title a couple of times first, but he would certainly be a great option if he continues to smash through the division in the ease at which he is doing at present.

I can appreciate why people dislike BJ, on TUF he came accross badly while Pulver really came accross as a gent and there for his team!

In terms of ability he is far and away the best lightweight in the world, Aoki doesnt have the stand up to compete with BJ, his grappling is on par and some say better than BJ's but lets be honest if he cant take him down (he is a small lightweight) then pulling guard and having Penn smashing you from your guard isnt going to work either bearing in mind how good his ground game is (Aoki pulls guard alot).

Aldo will be a contender in a year or so but he has Faber next i believe which should be a great competitive fight!!!

Lets all just hope Gomi wins his fight with Kenny to set up Gomi vs BJ 2!!

Noone 170 or below not named GSP beats BJ Penn for me!!
