I'm fine with it and all(although there's some other people I'd rather see in his spot after seeing his last outing against Simms.)

But my question is... how does the scoring go now? Like, you have to give Abraham the 3 points but Green has to start out with 0 in the second round(probably outgunned by everyone already anyway)...

I don't see how it's fair to either side.

Are they just going to start Green out with 0 points?

Yes, he starts with zero points. All he is doing is taking over Taylor's position, which means that he inherits Taylor's zero points. If Taylor would have won, but had to bow out for some reason, then Green would have gotten the 2 or 3 points that Taylor would of had, without doing anything.

Which in all likelihood means that if Green loses to Ward, he's out, and even if he wins, he needs another win to guarantee next round.

They could give Green 6 points and he would still lose

If green wins, then Ward loses, and Abraham losses, he could find himself tied for first place.

Is there anyone that thinks that Green has ANY chance against Ward? I sure don't... I see Green getting damn near embarrased by Ward.

Agreed! It makes no difference, Green has no chance and everyone knows it.

Shame really cuz at the start of the tournament it 6 guys you could take your pick from to win. Now Green is clearly the worst and he is hindered further by having zero points

It's two big paydays for him, that's the way his management must be looking at it. Who's he got in his second fight? I don't give him much chance against Ward but if he can at least look competitive in his two fights it puts him in the mix for championship fights after the Super Six finishes.

Yeah I see it that way as well.. Sure Green is hard pressed to do anything in the tournament, but so was Taylor from the onset. Not to mention after that KO Abraham delivered, Green isn't any more of a weak link than Taylor would've been at this point.

Who the heck has Green beat? When he "stepped up" against Edison Miranda he lost and we all know how good Miranda is....Green has been riding that knockout of Codrington for too many years. Green has overrated power and bad technique....Andre Ward is going to destroy Little Al....

This just reinforced my pick of Ward to win the whole thing...mmwaahhh. Wish I wasn't such a coward and put money on it

His 2nd fight will be against Kessler.

The other 2 3rd round fights are:

    Froch vs. Abraham
    Dirrell vs. Ward

This tourney has been pretty lack luster and now they're filling the spot of the weakest contender with green.

Why couldn't Lucian Bute replace Jermain Taylor ?
