Default George St Pierre vs Anderson Silva

I am in the minority I know. But I think GSP could and would rise to the occasion and overcome all the odds and win a hard fought war if they were to ever meet in the cage.

    Thoughts?

I definitely can't see this happening after Silva made a couple of moves to light heavyweight. Silva is now closer to being a light heavyweight than a middleweight. The size difference is now too great and would be the difference. I do think GSP is the #1 p4p guy though. The fight I'd like to see is GSP and Tyronn Woodley. Or Rampage and Anderson Silva.

The difference of weight is too huge to make it possible but if it was magically possible to find a weight were none of them is advantaged or disadvantaged (let's imagine it could be possible), that would be a terrific fight.

No doubt that the possibility of it actually happening are very slim. Nonetheless it's good to imagine because I'm confident it would be a great fight regardless of who won.

I was thinking that the other day about Rampage. I'm thinking that he is past his prime now though and no fighter past his prime has a chance against Silva. A young Rampage (PRIDE days) is a different story.

    Silva would dominate imo.

Silva. He's too big. If we could fit them both with the same suited weight though, St-Pierre has the perfect style to upset Silva.

Styles make fights dont they and i do believe that GSP has the perfect style for Anderson but he is too small and will get stopped.

He is trying to add muscle mass as at present he only comes down from about 185lbs to 170, he is trying to get that up to around 195 to make his eventual move to middleweight an easier transition. You have to remember he is only about 5ft 9 or 10.

Hendo had some success in the first round and i do think GSP's Ju Jitsu defence is better than Hendo's and he is more explosive and changes levels better but i think he will suffer the same fate ultimately getting knocked out or subbed (i think the submission is the less likely).

Dream fight and maybe one for 2011 if they are both still around!
