I heard some buzz about this a while back on the forums...But it was not confirmed and just talk.....But really going to happen huh?...This has to be nothing more then for a grudge purpose....I mean Tyson is just about out of debt with the IRS and is bringing in money with appearances his film, his cameos and his wife has some dollars I think....I swear everyday is something new and outrageous in this sport...I mean Camacho Sr is fighting again......These guys just dont know when to quit lol.....

I blame Foreman and Hopkins for this....I mean they set bthe example....Problem is these other guys aren't skilled like George and Bernard are at the same age

I dont think Mike has signed anything, King is deffinitly courting him though.

There were a few names mentioned, apparently Mike was hesitant at jumping straight in with anyone who is half way decent, Vinny Maddalone was the only opponent I would take for Mike out of the ones mentioned, even then, Mddalone would make Mike work, mike doesnt want to fight otherwise he would still be doing his anual comebacks, its deffinitly a quick easy way for hi to earn cash bur you just know, its all too late to see that dynamic fighter any more.

I cant lie, id still love to see him throw some combinations but Mike wont be doing this to better his standings, its for cash, so cue the sitting out a fight half way though again then.

Sad but there isnt One fighter active today anyone would fancy over the 88 Mike tyson

I think Tyson could be a huge draw if he returns. People love come backing legends, especially in boxing and if he is matched right I think he stands a good chance to fight Haye in a few fights. Haye vs Tyson would be huge if Tyson's path is chosen safely.

If Tyson is indeed coming back, he should at least thinking of getting back with the Catskill gang. Anyone remember the 1 trainer he had in Tokyo fighting Douglass that was using a glove filled with water to subside his swelling?

Same fools that pay to go and stand open mouthed in front of the Monkey cage at the zoo, they do the same thing except throw it at them.

Iv taken the pointless bits out the artical but it does look as though Mike really might be coming back yet again

I dont know how to feel, on One hand, id be happy to see Mike get in good shape and work over a few weak nobodies, just to see him knock some fuuckers out

I dont want to see anyone who might have an ounce of ambition picked for his first fight, if they have any asperations of getting Mike a title shot, christ, their gonna have to do some carefull opponent picking because Mike is still a name that people want as a win on their resume.

I also know it aint gonna happen but why doesnt King try to get Rooney back on board? maybe Kevin wouldnt work with King, maybe King wouldnt want anyone with a chance of talking Mike round being around him?

Mike is older and in each fight we have seen a decline in his movement, hes too bulky, he was lean and like lightning when he was younger, his biceps were only 16", they look huge when you rewatch the tapes but hes bigger all over since, hes done too much weight training which is why he would need someone like Rooney who knows how to make Mike work and get the best out of him.

As of now, I dont see Mike beating any of the current top 20 and im pretty sure Mike is realistic enough himself to know that too which is why he would be hesitant to face anyone with a pulse, he needs confidence builders and time to get momentum back, hes always been thrown in with people who had ambition, were big punchers or massive! Give him some old none punching cruiser with a weeks notice and go from there, Mike has always been physically gifted, hes got quick hands and feet, he just needs the right trainer to get the best out of them.

when asked about whether he was working with Tyson on a comeback fight against another opponent, King did not deny it.
"I ain't ready to comment on that," King said. "Read between the lines. It really is something isn't it, all the interest there is in Mike Tyson?"

King was also asked in November about the possibility of a Tyson comeback.
"I think Mike's one of the greatest fighters that ever lived," King said. "I think he can still be a fighter if he wants to be a fighter. Listen, whatever it is between me and Mike, it ain't about the bankroll. We gonna do what has to be done. He needs a lot of vitamins. He needs a lot of TLC, tender loving care, dedication and discipline. So whatever we have to do, we'll do. If you can't hear me, I'll say it a little louder."
In his recent documentary, "Tyson," the youngest heavyweight champion in history attacked King, as he had done for years. However, when they were together in November, Tyson was more forgiving.
"All things pass, and I just felt it was time to mend fences with Don," Tyson said.
Tyson was asked about a possible comeback during a joint interview with Showtime's Jim Gray during the telecast and said, "If this guy is going to pay for my training -- my training team costs a lot of money. I need a lot of minerals and vitamins. Anything is possible. I don't see it happening, but anything is possible. This guy is capable of making a lot of things happen. I don't see it happening, but you never know with this guy."
Tyson then added, "I would need to work really hard and take a lot of vitamins, because I'm fat."
But that was four months ago. When asked Friday if Tyson had been training to get into shape since then, King laughed loudly.
"Wouldn't that be something," he said.

He does refute a Tyson-Holyfield fight claiming he didn't talk to Holyfield. However, if you read further, he didn't deny that Tyson was training again when asked, simply stating: "wouldn't it be greath eh?"

Tyson needs money and he has that charismatic halo that did intrigue peoples since he's a boxer. He can sure be a huge draw... probably a bigger draw than a real impact on the HW division actually but if peoples want to shell good money to see him, I guess that he wouldn't say no even if he should.

Aaron Snowell....strangely enough he keeps finding work as a trainer.

No one can help Tyson right now....do I think that Tyson-Holyfield III would be closer than I or II.....no, because #1 Tyson's heart hasn't been in boxing in a long time and #2 Holyfield is in a lot better shape than Tyson and I think he's got more left.

I can't believe the press this rumor is getting, it's actually what got me hating on ESPN because Mike Wilbon on ESPN's PTI kept on dogging boxing....and for that he can go fuck himself

Getting Tyson to a big fight would be difficult though. He will need to beat a couple of hopeless bums before he can get a title shot but the problem is afew years ago Tyson couldnt even survive the distance with Kevin Mcbride. so what chance has an older fatter version got of beating fighters of that calibre now.

He wont comeback anyway. He is on tour at the moment and every time the question is brought up he dismisses it. Holyfield would smash him to bits now worse than he did over a decade ago.
