Hes got good striking. Highlight reels are fun to watch and you certainly have a knack for making good vids. Especially liked the teaching ones. They dont ever really give a good representation of a match tho imo, because of editing bias. For eg, if I put one together of me, no way am i gonna have me catching counters and making mistakes where I look bad, or the boring moments, its gonna be all the good stuff. lol

Cool vid tho and he does look a beast. What weight is this?

Thanks! This is at welterweight (170 lbs/77 kg). My guy is also the light heavyweight amateur boxing champ in Iceland.

I hope the highlight does not diminish the effect of this having been a very close and competitive fight by omitting what Besouro did well (countering and takedowns). This was just an epic fight from start to finish.

Yea his boxing skills certainly showed.

I wouldn't worry about diminishing anything, highlights are that, highlights. It's near impossible to not have a lil bias making them when it is one of/or your own.

It sure did look a battle. Good stuff.

Have found some other stuff on him thru the links. Got good all around skills from I saw. Worked good on the ground in a few of the clips in a tournament. Nice armbar to finish it.

He had a very bad knee injury a couple of years ago and Besouro was his first fight since 2006. Not exactly a soft touch, as four opponents had already backed out of fights with Arni before. When the opportunity came to fight this guy he had to take it.

He's improved tremendously in all categories since those older videos. Now as long as he gets to stay active he'll shake off the rust and get sharp. He's the hardest worker I have ever seen and it's an honor to be associated with him. Two of the guys he beat in that one night tournament (KO'd Jeff Cox and submitted Dennis Siver) went on to fight in the UFC (Siver is 5-2 there). The big stage awaits.
