Just throwing a general idea out there, should we put it up to a vote if the #1 in a division faces the #1 in the division immediately below him. The thought of the likely Pavlik-Martinez fight got me thinking about this.

I see Martinez as a better challenger for the Championship at Middleweight than some of those in the Top 5 at the weight.

I'm not saying it should become automatic, but that we put it up for a vote every time. Imo, it should only be the top guy in the division below who gets this, but I just wanted to get the rest of your opinions & then I'll put it up for a vote.

Its something I've wondered about also, especially with fighters fighting in different weight classes on a regular basis. A good idea & a vote will decide so I see no reason why we couldn't implement the rule...
