Volcanic eruption

We were supposed to fly to Egypt on holiday early tomorrow morning .... its been a tough year, we are tired, moved to an area we dint like because of work ...... been looking forward to a weeks scuba diving in the Red Sea along with my brother and his wife.

Oops - I clearly forgot to factor in an eruption of the Eyjafjallajoekull ( and that's real) Icelandic Supervolcano, which this morning went medieval and belched out millions of tonnes of silica ash ..... grounding every single jet aircraft in Western Europe.

Insurance company won't pay out as they classify it as an 'act of God'. So this has cost a shitload of money that we wont get back. Of course, cant get through to HAL9000 at the tarvel company's Bombay service centre.

I even paid £115 to put my cats in a cattery, that it looks like we dont need.

If anyone feels pissed off ....... ever, please contact me and I will put your fury into context.

The airport here in Luxembourg was closed yesterday to every flights at departure of Europe, not sure what about today, finger crossed it'll be fine on time for you, seems like volcano dust and sulfur in the air ain't good for airplanes.

Yeah, I want to fly back to Canada asap and the flights always go through London. But I saw on tv last night that Eyjafjallajoekull erupted in 1821 and the eruption lasted for a full year. Fortunately, air travel was not disrupted, mainly because the airplane had not been invented yet.

I don't know if it will help to wish for a sudden wind direction change. Aren't we talking about the trade winds?

I'm going to see what expedia.ca says about flights.
