Default Our New Site...Constructive thoughts/Comments are welcome

I've spent the last few months of my life building a new site with an American friend of mine who runs a top Boxing Radio Show called ONTHEGRiND BOXiNG. Not sure whether anyone listens in or not. Its a twice a week show, Sundays and Thursdays.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the new website from all of you great boxing minded Saddo's.

A message to Killer and PIYE>>> I managed to scrape by man, I faked it, and it worked, although I don't quite no know how. Ha.

Here is the site anyways. Its gonna be a work in progress for a while until we really have things nailed down and bugs fixed etc.

I'll take a look at it when I'm done writing my paper, but you might be better off posting this in the 100+ forum. Not many people read the off-topic area.

The site looks very smart mate, good use of colours, layout etc. Looks very professional.

Bookmarked. Where can I catch the show?

Edit - just seen it - click on the radios.

Overall looks good, I love the two-tone spray paint effect you do. Now the things I'm going to tell you are my opinion so take with it whatever you want.

You have the banner on top that says 'On the Grind Boxing' and then another banner below that with the links for the rss feed, facebook page etc. and then below that are your nav links. That's 2/3rds of the page as a header. I have a 1600x900 resolution and I'm using chrome, so I can imagine if someone had an older box with low res they would see nothing but images. If you could possibly drop it down to one banner it would navigate cleaner.

Also, you have the Newsdesks area a different color than the rest of the windows. Was this to make it stand out more? Again my personal opinion is that a site that has so much navigation should be consistent.

Just my opinions take them or leave them, no problem

As for the coding, you are using XHTML 1.0 Strict
so the center tag is depricated, use your style sheet for alignment.
Do you have a lot of experience with CSS?

At first glance it looks good mate.

The darker colors make you feel you are right in the thick of it from the get go.

    Good luck with it all.
