Who won and how?
montiel won by devastating ko in the 3rd round. he dropped concepcion twice in the second before unleashing a devastating punch and concepcion was literally out for a few seconds if not a minute or so. awesome performance by montiel and it shows me he is more than ready for donaire.
good work montiel, now i hope him and donaire get in the ring together.
Montiel destroyed the normally durable Concepcion. And that's not a good thing. Montiel performance pretty much puts an end to any Montiel-Donaire possibilities. I see no way Nonito would take a Montiel fight. It's not in his nature.

after that display of power montiel showed last night, it's highly unlikely donaire will want any part of him. after donaire destroyed darchinyan, he's been feeding on fighters two divisions lower than him. in manuel vargas' case, vargas was nothing more than a minimumweight fighting donaire three weight classes above. donaire's last fight was against a 5'3'', 21 yo. old fighter and it lasted until the 8th round. news flash!!! montiel may be small in stature but he isn't an overblown minimumweight! donaire is going to get a wake up call against this little bad ass (montiel).
pacs,
donaire can call out anybody he wants but until he mans up and signs on the dotted lines, he's just a barking dog with zero substance!
You're just riding on montiel's win but he is not as smart as nonito. Montiel even had a hard time against z-gorres and z is a lesser fighter than nonito. You expect me to believe you that montiel will "whoop donaire's ass?" You make me laugh you boricuan bluff.
dude you seriously have to stop stalking....
and look back at my posts from waaaaaaaaaaay back when, i've been saying Montiel beats Donaire for a good 2 years now, the only smart thing Donaire does is pick weak opposition that's why Montiel had a tough fight with Gorres, cause he's a tough fighter (or at least was a tough fighter), every guy that they've faced in common Montiel has destroyed, Concepcion took Donaire the distance and Montiel beat the shit out of him like if he was just a bitch
there track records since 2007 (the year Donaire beat Darchinyan) speak for themselves
Montiel- Z Gorres (SD), Martin Castillo (KO), Luis Maldonado (TKO 3), Hozumi Hasegawa (TKO), Rafael Concepcion (KO3)
Donaire-Luis Maldonado (TKO, Rafael Concepcion (UD 117-111, 115-113, 116-112) the rest have been bums
