Shame the Super Six as alot predicted has not gone to plan.

Personally If I was Showtime I would offer Green two or Three dates with good money on Showtime to just fuck off from the Super Six and have the following fights as straight semi finals:

    Ward V Dirrell
    Froch V Abraham

Kalle Sauerland has said "Disapointing news. Mikkell Kessler has pulled out of the Super Six. His career is not over but he will not be able to fight for a year. Professor Gerhard Lang Ulm, eyedoctor, confirmed yesterday that rest will lead to full recovery. Kessler suffered of problems with his vision. Muscle in his left eye injured. Kessler can train but no sparring or fighting for the next 9 months. He hopes to fight the winner of the Super 6 when he returns next year"

Sucks big time that he'll have to pull out but glad to hear that he'll make a full recovery. Like I said in the other post would love to see him rematch ward especially now that he has a competent trainer who I'm sure would have a plan b and c ready...

....well there's an openning for Bute, Pavlik, Miranda, etc

What's Bute's contract with HBO? Because if he's tied to them, there's no way he can be in the Super Six. Also, he can make a ton of money to fight Pascal.

In a perfect world, you just make Ward-Dirrell and Abraham-Froch the semifinals, but it's tough to change the rules midway thru the tourney.

The Green fight was pointless anyway. And it would be equally pointless for someone to step in to replace Kessler.

IF Kessler does intend to comeback he's in a strong position to land a fight with whoever is top dog.

    This.

Just be done with Green and have these as semis. Why not? It makes the most sense with a third of the original fighters now out.

Oh, and I forgot to even mention Kessler. A huge shame for him and it doesn't sound good for the rest of his career. I hope he can bounce back, but it won't be easy with a long lay off.

    Yep, fucki it!!

After that confidence builder and the next fight to sharpen him up, he would have looked good. The last layoff turned him in to shit!

Hes basiclly finished now!! For fucks sakes!!

Yea, either Bute step in or just have the final four be Froch, Abraham, Dirrell, Ward.

The problem could be that the whole thing crumbles because there are issues putting the Ward/Dirrell fight together too.

i don't know why they do any substitutions at all. Let the strongest survive. If you can't make it for whatever reason then re-arrange the matches with the guys that are already in it. We could be subsituting guys for the next 10 years....this boxing shit happens. Guys get hurt in and out of the ring part of the game. Green should have never been and no one else should be allowed to jump in either. This think is going from a super six, to a decent seven next you'll have guys saying fuck it i can't win anyway and just plain dropping out.

Di Bella over at the scene says he is happy to step aside with Showtime giving him another date and he is maybe moving to 175, great news that we have two semi's then.

From what i read on ESPN it looks like they are leaning towards making Ward-Direll, and Abraham-Froch the semi's. I think this would be best, screw trying to find a replacement in the third stage who basically has no chance of advancing anyway.
