Does Joe Mesi still fight? Anyone know or did he get hurt again and call it a day? Thanks.

He had trouble getting licensed. Did though, fought a couple of comeback fights, didn't look good. Then ran for a political office and hasn't fought since.

Think he's done, but never officially retired.

I think he was one of the more exciting heavyweights of the past few years...but after the Jirov fight he had bleeding on the brain and can't fight anymore.

He would have been an interesting matchup for many of the smaller heavyweights. I think a Mesi-Brock fight would have been really good because both guys could punch and take a decent punch. But saddly neither is fighting anymore.

Joe makes for a good color announcer though.
