Ariza: Forget Mosley, He's a Quitter, Marquez Has Balls - Boxing News

Strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza doesn't see any reason for Manny Pacquiao to fight Shane Mosley next. Ariza is a core member of Pacquiao's team. He views Mosley as a quitter who mentally gave up in his May fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. After coming close to knocking Mayweather out in the second round, Mosley was dominated in every following round to lose a lopsided twelve round decision in Las Vegas.

"“Everybody knows I like Marquez. It doesn’t matter, 140, 144, 145, whatever they want to fight us. Mosley? He’ll be tired after 15 minutes so what’s the point of that fight? Manny knocks him out and probably, Manny won’t even train for that fight. That guy is a quitter. He quit against Mayweather in three rounds," said Ariza to The Philippine Star."

Coming from a trainer, I would say that this guy is a bit stupid for calling Mosley a quitter. When it was more eveident that he was over trained, 38, and coming off a long layoff the reason for his strange and sudden fatigue. To me the Mora fight showed that Mosley has nothing left on the world class level.

Pac Man would beat JMM at the higher weight even easier than Shane, so what is he on about.

Maybe he wants the easier route.. coz really with mosely, if pac will be hit with a couple of those heavy exchanges i have certainly no doubt the pacman will taste the canvas. There's a difference between pac and floyd, both of them are really really good on there own game but let's face it; the pacman is the more hittable one. On the bright side we already know he got a great chin, but we just don't know if it's good enough to withstand Mosley's raw power.

His duty with Pac is pretty much over for this year. I think he needs to stfu and give his full attention with Khan.

I honestly don't believe Shane from years ago would have done much better against a guy bigger htan him and an awkward boxer type fighter. Mosley also was plain and simple lost against Floyd because of his sharpness. Mosley couldn't get anything started.
