    Wink new player

hi, my name is tom, I live in leicester, UK and I am 14. I am into sports like paintballing but was wondering if boxing was for me. where, or what can I do to get into the sport, any info would be appreciated. starter kits would be good. Is it right for me (I basically like any high combat sports)

Visit your nearest boxing/MMA gym and sign up. Choose the free trial if they offer any.

Welcome, like PSL said just go check out your local boxing gym. Maybe some of our friends across the pond can tell you of some in your area. I'm also into paintball, not so much any more but i played XPSL, and NPPL here in the US.

get yourself down to your nearest gym work hard and listen but remember they probably will want you to grasp they basic's before you are allowed to spar(they should) , you might get frustrated while waiting but stick with and when you do spar remember sparring is for learning

Liie everyone else said find a local gym first...My suggestion is go in learn the workouts first Rope, Bags running etc then after a few weeks you will know if it is for you....I say that only because a boxing workout is not like any other and it takes a lot of time to get in shape to fight....But you will know in a few weeks if you like it or not if yes then talk to the gym guys about training with someone thye will guide you slow...You should not even dream of sparring inside of 3 months it can be very frustrating at times but I promise when you begin you will learn exactly how long 3 minutes really can be....If anything you will be in the shape you never knew existed.....Good Luck on it
