Boxing - Klitschko-Solis on Epix

Little known premium entertainment channel EPIX, a video-on-demand and online service, brings heavyweight championship boxing back to the American airwaves when WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko defends against #1 ranked challenger Odlanier Solis on March 19 on the EPIX channel and on EpixHD.com LIVE at 6PM ET, followed by a replay at 10PM ET. “We are pleased to bring this exciting heavyweight championship to American boxing fans on television and online,” said EPIX President and CEO Mark Greenberg. Klitschko vs. Solis marks the first boxing event televised on EPIX, and the first time a Klitschko bout has aired live on American television since 2009. The service is available to over 30 million homes nationwide through distribution partners including Charter Communications, Cox Communications, DISH Network, Mediacom Communications, NCTC, Suddenlink Communications and Verizon FiOS. Notably missing are Comcast, the nation’s largest cable provider and DirecTV, the largest satellite provider.

EPIX is actually a movie channel...think HBO or Showtime. There was talk a few months back of a new network trying to sway Sergio Martinez over to their network. I'm guessing it was EPIX. I think it's great news for us in the States to have another network wanting to make Boxing apart of their programming.

This is great news. What happenend to Versus playing fight's I haven't seen or heard anything from them. They were playing some fight's on Thursday night's a little while back. I think the last one was RJJ getting stopped by Danny Greene and B-Hop in his borefest against Ornelas. Anyone heard anything ?
