Am I the only one who has had a tits full of Jim Watt???

Just watched the Mathew Hatton fight and once again the shit that Jim Watt spews out during every fight has pissed me off.

Watt just keeps repeating himself from the 1st round on without really noting the points as the fight goes on.

A number of times Hatton landed good shots but Watt did not even mention them.

I like Watt when he talks about boxing in the studio but ringside he has spoilt many fights for me over the last 20 years or so.

Agreed Porky, I can't stand him. Thank god Sky just employed Barry McGuigan. Hopefully they'll just let Watts contract run out.

Not a fan of Johnny Nelson either. Sky can do much better.

On a positive note though, bringing in Bob Mee was a good call.

i think watt is alright, quite entertaining, doesnt always get it right i know

thing is, i am a manc so really wanted hatton to win

and yes his punches got through a few times, i read a thread on here before i watched the fight and people had him stunning alverez and if he had put a bit more pressure on he may have KOed him i read

i dont agree, i think it was a commendable performance from hatton but i didnt see many punches really give alverez any trouble at all

I like Jim Watt. For sure he sometimes has a bad night but he's been a stalwart TV commentator for around 30 years. That's a serious amount of fights to cover.

Agree that Bob Mee is excellent. They should let him commentate on the full fight.

But whoever thought Johnny Nelson should be allowed a serious interviewers position should be shot. I like Nelson but he is embarrassing on Ringside. It's cringeworthy stuff.

Bob mee is rubbish, he used to do fukll fights on eurosport and it was dull

yep he knows his shit and can come up with some good facts every now and again

but his ability to lay out how the fight is going is not as good as mccrory or nelson

mccrory will always be my fave co-commentator, think its just an era thing. Loved it when he used to call the lewis, bruno, hamed fights

My biggest of my many Watt gripes is that he does not change his tune all fight long.Once he thinks a fight is going a certain way he just sticks with that line of commontary baring a ko or stoppage.

Ian Dark and Glen have always been my favorate.

classic watt hatton-mayweather, hatton pushes a left into the face of floyd 30seconds into the fight and watt gives out a big "floyd said he`d never lose to a man with no jab his just realised ricky has one"
